That UH is sort of a copy of a cross between Randall's Models 3 and 4, design-wise.

I think they were very good knives and excellent values.

I hope this is an original US-made knife, not the current Chinese item?

I have a couple of the UH pocketknives and like them. And a fillet knife for fish.

Unlike the cheaper Old Timer line, the Uncle Henry knives had good stainless blades and better overall finish.

The Staglon handles are a form of DuPont Delrin.

Their equivalent to the Buck Model 110, the LB-7, was used by a Canadian hiker to kill a cougar that attacked him. The folding knife fared well, once the man managed to get it out and open, while keeping the cat's teeth off of his throat. That knife had a wood handle, but the same was available with Staglon, I think as the UH-7.

Now that the original Schrade factory has closed, finding a good example of a nice Uncle Henry is a worthwhile achievement. Unless someone tries to call them collectible and inflates the price, they're still good values. And really good knives!

I wish I'd bought a few more, back when they were sold everywhere, and I took them for granted.

I like that knife. Nice find. Now you've got me on the hunt for one. I still have the UH trapper pocket knife my dad gave me when I was 13 (49 years ago). I've used it to skin countless deer, squirrel and rabbits over the years. It's retired now. I've worn the clip point blade down to 1/3 of it's original size but I found a US made replacement about 15 years ago that I use only when hunting.

Looks Purdy!

I have a few old UH Pocket knives from the 60's and 70's along with a few original Old Timer's too. For the price they were very good quality pocket knives. I also had a Sheath knife from them as well when I was a Boy Scout but I have not seen it in at least 40 years - no idea what happened to it.

The UH's of today (made in China) are something I am not familiar with as I don't buy Chinese products if I can avoid it.

Really like that Case pictured above. Only "vintage" one I got is a Puma Skinner made in 1966 according to the marking. Paid about $30 for it back then. Those older made ones are sure treasures to come by today.
