Default Sig P 365

Does anyone have any experience with the relatively new Sig P365 9mm Auto?

Yes, I have one built in mid October of this year. It has digested 115 ball, 115 HP, 124 ball, 124 HP and 147 HP., without a hitch. Very nice carry package, excellent trigger.

I have one and like it a great deal. Still in the testing phase but has been flawless.

There are a few lengthy threads on the forum about it so i would suggest a good search to find good and bad.

I have heard some great things and saw a horrible one on my local forum where the member had to send it back to Sig twice and finally on the third time around they sent him a brand new one that ran like a champ, it seems that the early ones had some issues and the newer ones are GTG.

I have been paying pretty close attention as I really want one but kinda waiting for the new stock to rotate around my neck of the woods.

First read about a 365 on this forum. Then read all the bad, then good, and about later build models. This is all last month. I just happened to see a new one with an Oct. build date, while looking for something else. Bought it, and it's been flawless. After my wife spent some time with it at the range, she wanted one too. We now own two.

I'm extremely impressed with how well it's on target, considering it's size and capacity. It reminds me a lot of my Shield 45 ACP when I'm shooting between 5 & 25 yrds. I always favored my 45 Shield over my 9mm Shield. But that's me.

I am happy with mine but I need more rounds through it before it is carried.

I just recently picked one up. I'm impressed with how well it shoots for a pistol that size. Not as much recoil as I suspected, and very accurate. Mine is an older one, but so far-no problems.

I bought one about two weeks ago; August 2018 build date. I have had no problems at all with over 200 rounds of mixed ammo through it, FMJ, JHP, Pow'rBall, Guard Dog, standard velocity, and +P.

I've carried it daily for the last week and it's easy to conceal, compact and lightweight. There are many holsters available for it (I use two DeSantis holsters for IWB and OWB).

Just had mine out yesterday at the range. Now up to 500 flawless reload and factory rounds with nary a hint of trouble. It is somewhat difficult to load a full mag but Uplulas are the bomb.
Best nine in it’s size, imo, with 10 or 12+1.

Edit: no primer drag on my example. Kahr 380 up above.

My first has over 4000 rounds fired, I bought another just because I liked the first one so much. It has been my daily carry since March.
I have seen quite a few come through our range and all are happy with the guns performance.

Yeah, I took my 3rd one to,the range yesterday, zero incidents. I’d sold the first 2 early models I had to somebody who couldn’t find one and just got a later edition a couple weeks ago. I haven’t had any issues with none of the 3.

I was offered one when they first hit the market, but passed do to issues around the net. I want one, but I'm waiting a couple years to make sure any additional bugs are worked out.

I like both of mine. Can't shoot them as well as a revolver though. Probably has something to do with me being such a traditionalist.

I purchased mine about 4 weeks ago, it has a Sept. 5 build date. Took it to the range and was a lot more accurate and easier shooting than my Glock 43. The grip on the 43 felt like a board compared to the Sig. So I sold the Glock 43 and now the Sig P365 is my everyday carry. I use Ryan Grizzle Holsters, and went on his site and he just happened to have the one I use in stock. He normally has an 11 week waiting list. Here’s the Sig with the 12 round magazine riding in my R. Grizzle Georgia Snap 2 holster. 13 rounds in a smaller gun and holster! I love this gun!

Default Sig 365

I went to my local police supply house last week, to buy a new 9 MM. I have a Glock 42 and a S & W Shield in 380 cal but I wanted a 9 MM. The salesman behind the counter, who is also the gun mgr said that they have not been carrying them because of problems they have encountered. He didn't say what the problems are. Last month I called Sig and the man in customer service that I spoke with said that they would be bring the 365 out with a manual thumb safety, sometime after the winter months. I like the idea of a thumb safety and will wait until they bring them out. I have played with one in a different GS, and it was nice. I don't know what the accuracy is like.

Most of the problems were in the early build with a lot of striker breakage in the March through May 2017. Those problems have been fixed and I’m not reading any problems any longer. Being use to the Glock’s I really like it without the safety. Trigger pull is heavy enough that it’s not a concern for me, especially with the holster I carry it in.

Default Sig P 365

Great little gun, simple as that. I added the laser and though it has an awkward activation switch it is a nice add on and helps me shoot it well.

I'll stick with my Shield and PP2 M2... No help, but I have no interest in spending an extra $100 or so per round.

My P 365 has over 1,200 rounds through it and has functioned 100% with a wide variety of ammo. Once I accidentally pushed the slide lock up while shooting, but that's neither the fault of the pistol or ammo. The trigger pull is excellent. I shoot it very well and it fits my hand and doesn't shift around, even with the flush magazine YMMV. There have been some problems with the pistol with early production guns. Some folks, like Military Arms Channel had many problems with different pistols, but I think that isn't typical, especially with recent runs. Here's a video that you might find helpful:

Pete, Seeing the Pirate's logo, maybe you reside around PGH? (I live in Stanton Hgts). May I ask what you paid for the pistol? The newer gun shop and indoor range (in Cranberry) is advertising a big "sale" on the gun this weekend. I saw it on one large dealer's site for $570. I've been to the shop in Cranberry a few times. I would expect the price there to be a bit higher than the larger dealers selling on line, but I didn't see what they are selling the Sig for. 'tis the season for treating one's self to a gift from Santa! Thanks for any info. Jeff T., PGH PA

I bought it used, at $400. I think it's a keeper. I'm in the South Hills, BTW.
The last two new ones I saw were around $550, so you're not too far off.

I use the 10 rounders when pocket carrying, easier fit imo, and the 12’s other times.

I got P365 about 6 weeks ago, and so far have just 300-400 rounds through it. 100% functionality. I like about everything about it. The 10 rd mag original equipment is great, can get a full grip on it (with the pinky ext). Recoil is milder than expected, accuracy is very acceptable, (not a bullseye gun). Currently carrying in a Shield holster which fits fine, (DeSantis mini scabbard). It probably needs another several hundred rounds through it for complete break in, but I have faith in it at this point.

Should have mine Monday or Tuesday. Just bought a 12 rnd mag for it and don't own the gun! That's a first!

Not selling the G43 though. It's a keeper... (As NEO said so eloquently, "Guns. Lots of Guns!")

Not selling the G43 though. It's a keeper... (As NEO said so eloquently, "Guns. Lots of Guns!")

Not as of yet. (I'll look at those) OWB Paddle at some point maybe. May wait for more choices. I have a Stoner paddle for the Shield, and nothing for the G43. Had that one a month and just took it to the range 2 weeks ago.

Looks like an option... Small Clip On or Belt Scabbard Holster (B-5) — MTR Custom Leather

Default Sig P 365, A Great Carry Option

I got my 365 a while back, and even though I am a revolver guy, the 365 makes for a great carry option. I carry my CCW guns in front pocket holsters. As you can see by the photos they are almost the same size.

I got mine at a Gander Outdoors. They had received 63 of them in. $475 minus 5% if a Good Sam member. Same size as my Kahr CM-9 with almost double the capacity and a shorter trigger pull. Best prices I found for the 12 round mag was $39.99 at Academy - they had them hanging with all of the others. The finger tip extension is nice, but the 12 round makes it fit my hand perfectly.

That’s a pretty good price right there on that 365. The capacity and pistol size is what sold it for me, 13 rds ready to go.

Mine was built early October and I picked it up about 10 days ago. So far I've shot 250 rounds of assorted ammo including +P and standard velocity with 115 and 124 grain bullets. Functions 100% at this point and after I hit 500-600 rounds will probably make it my EDC. As of this moment I could not be happier with it. It's my first Sig and my first plastic Pistol.

I have the same 2 carry guns. I've had my P365 since June with no issues and maybe 300 rounds thru it

I'll buy one eventually, but I'm still giving time for all the bugs to be worked out. Some have been 100% flawless, but I still hear a few with issues.

Not yet. Got my 12 rnd Mag yesterday though...

EDIT: Oh yeah, I'm not retired yet and work every day. I last went to the range w/ 4 guns that I haven't shot yet on Veterans Day (Monday). This will go next! (One was a CZ75 P01 Compact "Steel Frame"! It felt like a 380... SWEET and dead on!)

I have 500 rounds through my 04/18 build.

No problems, yet.

I carry mine.

Since they're only making it in a lady's round I got one for the wife.

This is her shooting it and her group from about 25' away. She really likes it and it has been 100% for a little over 300 rounds.
