Default SIG P365 WOW

Except for my German WWII P38 and Luger, I don't much like semi autos. Really don't like the plastic ones from the past 30 years which is why I gave my son my 1988 Glock 19. This one is a lot more classy though. . .so little for a 9mm. My Bodyguard sits in its box since I got it when they first came out. It's such a stinky little gun. The Glocks I have left sit in their boxes too. I think I carried the 380 a week maybe. The LCP sits in my truck door. I kind of like it, but don't care what happens to it. When Smith came out with their plastic 9mm some years back, I looked at them. Still look at one from time to time, but just don't like much about them. Never bought one. This P365 really grabbed me when I first saw one two days ago. It weights about a pound and carries up to 13 rounds fully loaded. Now, that's a real pocket pistol like I have never seen before. My buddy in Macon let me have it NIB for only $495. They just came in and it was the last one left this morning. Haven't shot it yet since it's raining. This one looks like it may be a keeper and one to carry and use. Got a BORAII pocket holster on the way. I carry back pocket and just need something to cover the trigger and keep the gun upright.

While you can certainly do as you like I emplore you not to leave a gun in your car/truck. You may not care if it’s stolen but please consider that it could be used to hurt someone else.

Mine is on its way to becoming my EDC (I have to shed a few pounds first); but it has been flawless at every session with a wide variety of ammo brands, reloads, different bullet weights, etc.

Just hit the 800 round mark through mine (got it about 6 weeks ago) and not one single problem. It's now my EDC/CCW.

UPDATED 03/08/2019: Now have 1250 rounds through it - - - NO hiccups what so ever!

I love my P365, goes everywhere with me. I paid $4 more for mine, $499 NIB at my LGS and they don’t know me from squat.

It weighs substantially more than a pound when fully loaded.

Yup, since it will hold a total of 13 rounds, it will get up to around 21 ounces I would guess. Since all the other compact guns (like the Shield) have no capacity, the Sig may be the heavy one.

I didn't know anything about them until watching Gun Stories about Sig. I went to a local LGS and looked at one. I shouldn't have done that. I feel a void. At first I think $500 for a little plastic gun seems a lot, but heck, a real nice Model 10 is $500 these days. And, I don't own a Sig, so......

I, too, have a P365. I am a revolver guy and have been most all of my life. I've carried semi's but usually find my way back to revolvers. When I found my S&W 940 I thought I had found my last carry (off duty, backup) gun. That was until I got the P365. After I qualified with it its been my only carry gun, except while hunting and then I carry a 1076 or a Model 29.

Its a small gun that does not realize it is a small gun. It shoots like a full size gun. I have carried a Kahr PM40, a Kahr P380 and a Kimber Solo. With all of these I had to compromise. The 40 was a bear to shoot, too much recoil for the size. The 380 is a compromise on size and the Kimber was too finicky.

The P365, as least for me, is the best of all worlds. Small size, decent caliber, enough rounds and extremely easy to qualify with.

The following photos show it compared to the S&W 940. The photos show the gun with the 10 round mag, so 11 rounds vs 5.

I bought one today. Blue Label.

I had a 442 in my pocket when I bought it. The 442 is probably going to spend more time in the safe.

I have never been a fan of the 9mm cartridge. I have spoken with a couple of trauma surgeons, who advised they were seeing the results of improved ballistics. I have also read reports of the improved performance of the cartridge.

So I started looking for a 9mm for off duty and found a 5903. Qualified with it, but found it to be a bit too heavy to carry comfortably.

My Sgt. was singing the praises of the 365, and I shot his, liked it and acquired one for $495.00 plus tax. Qualified with it and it really fits a need.

Loaded with Hornady Critical Duty with the 12 round magazine I don’t feel under gunned at all.
