Default guns&ammo.... Sig

Just saw a tv show that had one section on long rang shooting.

The weapon was a Stock Sig 5.56 MCX with a 16" barrel and scope.
The ammo was Hornady's new 73gr. ELD match bullet with a
BC of .133.
Muzzel vel of 2790fps at 3,000 elevation and temperature at 65 degrees. **
Metal target looked like is was about 12x16", painted white.

Test range was at..................... 1270 yards.... -9 degrees.

Scope was adjusted up by 78.6 MIL.

First two shots missed.........
next four in a row , hit the target.

Not bad for a .223 round, for only target and gong shooting.
They stated that the bullets energy at that range was 122 ft/lbs.

Weapons and ammo has come a long way.

** MV 1270 correction to 2790 (Midway ammo)

BC looks wrong. The Hornady site says .398 (G1) and .200 (G7).

Don't know who wrote the original article, but he/she needs a proof reader.
