Purchased at Glock 48 today
Went on a search today for a rimfire rifle and saw that the shops were stocking the new glocks.
I originally told myself to wait until better colors come out and price drops, but..... looks better in person than in photo.....and, the shop said they only got models in with standard sights, no night sight models available yet, .. but when they opened my box, it had night sights!!!! $469 plus tax is not a bad price
Gun really feels good in the hand. Trigger is much better than my gen 4 19 or 17. Only disappointment is only come with two mags.

The shop by me has theirs for sale at $479. I checked it out. It's the first Glock I enjoy holding that feels good to my hand. Congrats

Yes, as soon as I held it, I was like..." nice piece".
It's going to retire my g19, I know that already. It should be very easy to carry.

I’m anxious to get one in my hands and I’m really hoping they offer it without the silver slide.

Maybe some day, but not an option at this time.

When I fondled one at my local shop, it kind of reminded me of my aluminum frame commander 1911 in terms of its proportions. I know it is a little thinner and less weight but there was definitely a correlation in how they feel and handle.

I've never bought a pistol that came with more than two magazines.

This or the 43X are on my short list. Haven't found any shop on-line yet selling extra mags though.

Saw a 48 and the companion 43x this week in a shop local to me. $448 each. No night sights.

Me too. Then last month I bought a Glock 19x and it came with 3 mags.

WOW, that's the low-price for the standard one here in town right now!

I like Glocks. A lot. That said..I don't understand the 48. It's only .015" "thinner" than a 19, yet you give up 5 rounds of ammo vs a 19. Plus it takes different mags than a 19 or a 17 so any of those mags you own are useless in the 48. I suppose Glock needed something "new" to counter the Sig 365..but I'm not so sure this is very innovative. Now the 19x is a buy for me.

I picked mine up last week and have run about 150 rounds through it so far. I really like the feel of the 48. It definitely fills the hand better than my 43 and isn't nearly as snappy when shooting hot loads. The only downside that I have encountered so far is my daughter...
Her favorite gun and her defensive pistol has always been a 640 Pro. She's small and has never cared for any of my Glocks. Well, she has fallen in love with this one. Says it fits her hand better than any other pistol she has tried. I imagine I'm gonna have to probably pick up a second one.

I can see it being competition for the Sig 365 but it'll take more than that before I give up my G19/4.

Of the two, I'm more interested in the 43X. Thinking that's next on the list . . .

I had the 48 in my hand at my LGS, not bad at all. I like how it fit my hand and it's point of aim when I drew it onto a target. Felt very natural how everything lined up. Just not a fan of the two tone color. I was never a Glock fan, but did purchase a 19X and I love it. I would not mind buying the 48 if it ever comes in a solid color option.

Got the 48 with night sights, love it! So does my son, we together gave it a good wringing out at the range with no malfunctioning.

I was on the fence until I held it. Then it all made sense. Just a nice slim piece that fits the hand very well, holds 10+1 so no complaints there, and is perfect for Mexican carry.
