My dads Colt Woodsman Match Target... I can't complain, it was free to boot.

My vote for .22 rifles any of the Mossberg .22 bolt action or semi-autos from the 40's-50's.

My first squirrel, rabbit hunts, or for dealing with ground hogs and crows in the vegetable garden.

Have a Mossburg 352CA in the gun safe now, great for plinking , target practice. Especially with youngsters first exposure to fire arms.

The most Iconic 22's in my pauper's world has always been the S&W K 22 and the Marlin 39A. They were the two I always wanted once I became old enough to be "aware" of them. I've had several other 22 handguns and rifles over the years, (still do) but those two to me were always on the list of "I'm gonna get one of those some day.".

There are more expensive, and perhaps more accurate handguns & rifles out there to be had, but once I had one of each of these in my possession, I stopped looking.
