Default I tried to resist

For a long time. Finally broke down and bought a Colt 6920.
I don’t really need it but I feel good about getting it.
The proof will be in the pudding, as they say, when it gets here.
At least the ammo is plentiful and low priced.

Great choice on your part. Colt QA/QC is second to none. I've run a 6920 with MagPul furniture as a back-up to my Noveske. Approximately
5K rounds of XM193 downrange with no problems. Key to reliability is proper lubrication. Also, Colt stakes the carrier key correctly and has MPI bolts. There are many in service with LE/MIL. In law enforcement we called that a "clue".

Have been on range, ours and other agencies', when "hobby-guns" went down after harsh firing schedule. Never saw that with a properly maintained Colt.

Prices on these are very reasonable now. Ammunition seems to be creeping up, though.

Buds is running a good sale now @ $877 with free shipping for the Magpul m4.
I haven’t seen the ammo going up...yet.
As for lube, I’ve just started using lubriplate for that and my pistols.
So far, it’s been working well on the sliding parts.

Lubriplate is good stuff; all I ever used on my Garands and Mini-14s. Never tried it on an AR but I bet it’s great on sliding parts.
