Default Picked up a Near New Three Screw .41

While I have quite a fondness for the S&W double action revolvers, I must admit that they have to share quite a bit of my affection with Colt 1911s and three-screw Ruger Blackhawks.

I came across this example recently, and decided that it was going to be dad's Christmas present. However, I thought that I'd take a couple of (******) photos of it before it gets boxed up.

Sorry in advance for not photographing the end of the box, it is for a 6.5" .41 Magnum, so it is correct for the gun. I wonder if the one-year warranty card is still good though...j/k.

I am guessing that it has had a few boxes of ammo through it, but not many. Previous owner(s?) probably only got some hot factory ammo to shoot and quickly fell out of love with the grip design and recoil of the caliber. All in all it looks pretty good for a 1970-made revolver.

*** It has NOT been converted either ***

Default LOVE THOSE 3-SCREWS

Boy! You did good, Diggler. I picked up my 1st 3-Screw .41 Mag in '88, which began my "love" for those old SAs. Yours' is a beaut!....and in a box, no less. Mine also was made in 1970 (#40-094xx)

Also found a 1969 (#30-061xx) in .357 about 3 1/2 years ago. Excellent condition, but no box.

Then found an UNFIRED flat-top BH (#205xx) .44 Mag not quite two years ago. It was made in 1959.

None of them had a box (don't I wish!).

You have a fortunate Dad, have fun, Hank M.
