Default Mark on a Buck 110

Daughter came yesterday from France on vacation and brought me a Buck 110 knife. It´s the model with finger grooves and Clerican ebony scale. Beautiful knife !
However when looking at the markings on the blade there is, over USA on the right side of the 110 mark, a letter U with a dot in the middle.
Does anyone know the meaning of this?
Thanks, regards, Ray

Here's a link to the page on the Buck website to decode those hieroglyphics on the blade.

Edit: Just another 22 shooter's post wasn't here until I posted this. Only after I did it showed up. Weird!

That´s it, pals, thanks. The sheath is made in México and on the box there´s a notice saying - For sale outside the U.S. and Canada. It set her back about 90 euros.
Regards, Ray
