Undoubtedly very strong from a life of hard, manual labor, but not that big.

It’s estimated the average Civil War cavalryman weighed in at 140 lbs.

A museum local to me restored one of Samuel Walkers army uniforms. I don’t know how tall he was, but they said his waist would’ve made a super-model green with envy, roughly one-half the girth of an average American male today.

Very nice gun, a true American classic.

Unfortunately, by cleaning it and polishing it you've completely ruined it's collector's value and now it's only worth 50¢, or at least I'm sure that's what your average, low-balling crooked collector would claim if given the opportunity.

But seriously, hang onto that cannon. Folks can put a dollar value on anything, but owning an object of such vast historical significance is priceless.
