Default "Hideout" grips

I'd forgotten about these but tripped over them at Brownell's when I was hunting for a drill bit to install the front sight on my 66-8 since they go for $19.99 I said the hell with it and got a pair, made by precision gun specialties.

They aren't bad just not well made, rough as a bad road and I had to take the sanding wheel on my walmart brand dremel and fit the things, yep big gap in the front of the grip, yep the screw is buggered because it's butter I'm trying to find the thread pitch so I can get a torx head replacement, yep I taped the pee out of my pistola when I was sanding.

As of now I really like them, made out of some kind of nylon plastic with a texture similar to fine sandpaper, when you get the high spots knocked off they feel great, long enough to get all my fingers on it but like the Hogue bantam grips don't extend below the frame, since it's not rubber it doesn't stick to my clothes.

Anybody heard of them? I could swear I've seen them on here before.

They ugly but they work!

My 642-1 is wearing a set right now. I tried the textured one but it was way too rough. The smooth one works fine for me. I was surprised that felt recoil didn't feel too different from my Spegel boot grips, though it does have a bit more of a tendency to twist in the hand a little. I had to modify mine to work with speedloaders. Unfortunately, I don't have a Dremel tool so I did with files and sandpaper. I'll probably get another set for my 642ND.

I never used them on a J, but they worked great on a 65-5 that Sam Damewood customized for me (which now belongs to my brother - he and his wife liked it).

They were my favorite K-frame grips. Used them on both a 2" 64 and a 3" 65. Also, the K-frame versions will work with speedloaders without modification.

They work well on a four inch M66 once you adjust to the size,it almost looks too small until you realize before most grips were that size.

Amazing how much bigger then they need to be most handgun grips are nowadays which is why many say the full size guns are hard to carry concealed-ya know at one time the grips just fit the frame and were enough to fill your hand and not big enough for a hand and a half grip.
