Neither have I, but it sounds pretty neat. I do like the 38 super cartridge. But I would have no idea how to price either one. Can you even get magazines for them?
AMT produced some nice guns back in their day, but like anyone else, they also made some turds. My cousin had an AMT (IIRC), that had replaceable barrels, in both 22LR and 22 WMR. The frame cracked on it soon after he got it, but they replaced it immediately. He loved that little gun too, and never had a bit more trouble with it.
I'd say both of those are pretty scarce these days. Please let us know how it turns out (value wise). Curious minds want to know.

The AMT Automag III (30 carbine) usually sells around 800-1000 . Not many showing up anymore. The AMT backups usually sell for 250 or so in 380 caliber. If you find an AMT collector, you can probably get much more for the 38 super as it is pretty rare.

I can understand why the Back Up is 38 Super was left unfired! Back in the day I had Walther PPKs in 32 and 380, I always found my friend's Back Ups to be pretty fierce in 380, I'm not ever volunteering to pull the trigger on one in 38 Super (and I really like 38 Super!)

Blu book of gun values calls for $550 for the NIB Backup .38 Super.

I have a pair of brand new magazines for the 9MM AMT Backup sitting on the table next to me.
If you remove the spacers in the backs of the 9MM magazines they would become 38 SUPER mags
Just the same as full size 1911 magazines

Those are both going to be niche guns. Gonna have to find just the right buyer. Nobody at a gun show will want to pay fair prices for either. Make a nice curiosity piece, but that's about all.
I suggest you put them on GB. If you get an AMT collector interested, you might get some real good money for them.
Truthfully, I'd be happy to own either one. But only if I could get it at a bargain price.

Out of curiosity, I did a little checking on the internet. Automag IIIs in .30 carbine seem to be selling in the $1400-1500 range. Seems reasonable to me.
The only thing I could find on a .38 Super Back-up was a gun board thread from back in 2009 where the poster said he paid $350 for his. I think I'd ask $500 due to its scarcity.
Hopefully this will help and good luck to you.

For comparison I paid $280 for a (used) .38 Super one at Cabela’s gun library two years ago.
