Default Lands & Grooves Magazine

I was in the airport last week, and was killing time before the flight in the airport news stand. I saw a magazine called "Lands and Grooves" put out by Kimber, which I had never heard of. Priced at $15 at the news stand. I thumbed through it, seemed mainly to be a glamour show of Kimber products, but certainly nothing I would pay anything close to $15 for, even if I gave a whit about Kimber. Just thought it was something interesting to find that I didn't know existed.

About 2 years ago I got one free at a LGS that sold Kimbers. I suppose that is still possible but this LGS is no longer in business. It also had a high price on it but was free. The day after I got my free one we were grocery shopping and I went over to the magazine rack and saw the same one for about $12. I have one Kimber.

At that same airport news stand I also saw another magazine called "Watch Time," also expensive. Completely devoted to luxury wrist watches for the super-rich. Beautiful photography. I had never seen a copy of it before either.

I think I have seen something similar from CZ.

That’s also the name of the newsletter of one of the clubs I belong to. Since the club started in 1946 maybe we should sue.

Default Call me paraniod

Not being a fan of cavity searches, I wouldn't even pick up a magazine such as that in an airport.

News stand was inside the gate area. They also had several of the more typical gunmags on display

Lands & Grooves is essentially Kimber's catalog. They, like CZ and other companies also hire gun magazine writers to write up their products and those are included in half of the catalog.

I like them for the information, but I've always found stacks of them for free in gun shops. It was only in the last couple of years I've seen them for sale at places like Walmart and Cabela's.
