The grips are probably from Altamont. From what I've seen and read so far, the new Python is a really nice gun! May not be quite up to the older version for a SxS comparison, but pretty darn close. After all the hoopla dies down, I see a selling price of about $1,250 or so. No barrel insert - no internal locks - I'd say it will give Smith owners a reason to look and have options over the now fudged up S&W line up.

I also think it will start to bring some of the highly inflated prices of the originals down a few notches - but that will be determined.
