Let's see those 22lr target guns
I have a 617 that I'm thinking of doing some work too.. optics, grips, etc to start.
I know there's a bunch of ya'll that target shoot your 22's. Doesn't matter what brand or whether it's a wheel gun or bottom feeder... just looking for ideas and love to see pictures!

Colt Challenger is my favorite by far and very close 2nd would be my 617.
I also HIGHLY recommend a Browning Buck Mark over a Ruger MK series pistols. I have three Buck Marks and all of them are not ammo picky. The Ruger is. Also the Challenger is not ammo picky either. I can run uncoated round nosed in it without issues same for the Brownings. If you are on a budget, do not look past the S&W 22a.

It's not a bottom feeder or revolver.
It is a .22LR target gun though.
You ever want to give it a try give me a shout I'm just across the river.
The trigger pull and short hammer throw are pretty neat to try

This 1980 Model 41 is a fine target pistol...
...but honestly doesn't shoot any better than this 1979 Colt Woodsman...
...or it's shorter companion from 1950...
But all of those are overshadowed by the accuracy of this 1954 High Standard Supermatic S-101...

I just got it yesterday, will be shooting it for the first time on Sunday. Since it's my only 22lr, it's my favorite.
It's a model 63.

Here are two Rugers. The Mark III Hunter was accurized by Valquartsen. The Single Six will hurl a 22 magnum round at incredible velocities plus it has a snake skin grip.

Here are mine...
First up is my Marvel 22 build for me in 2006 by RRA:
Next up is my Unique DES 69, which I only use informally when I need to practice open sights. It is now wearing a pair of Rink grips:
This is my Unique DES/VO UIT Rapid Fire Pistol in 22 Short. No longer legal in UIT shooting, it is now just for fun:

Perhaps not my favorite, but probably my best shooting target 22.
The target was shot today at 40yds, offhand, isosceles
My latest addition to the target .22 fleet
The target was shot today at 40yds, offhand, isosceles
I'm not sure how I managed this target, I was not having a easy time with this gun today.
To whomever said BuckMark jam-o-matics were less finicky than Rugers,
I would love to meet up with you at the range one day and prove you wrong
There is a reason I have a small fleet of Rugers and only a single token Buckmark.

I just might have a .22 problem
I always take a .22 to the range. I have quite a variety of .22 pistols and revolvers. I also really like the Browning Buckmark in all forms. Like my S&W 41s, Ruger MkIIs...........
Group picture
SS Ruger MkIIs 10", 6⅞",5˝"
S&W 41 7⅜"
S&W 41 5˝"
Browning Buckmark 14" Unlimited Silhouette
Browning Buckmark 7Ľ" Bullseye
S&W 22A

This Hamden made High Standard Victor is probably the most accurate repeating handgun I have owned. The Ruger MK ll target model with the ugly scope & mount is also a very accurate gun, and has accounted for a lot of small game.

Here are mine:
1. S&W K 22, made 1948.
2. S&W Model 41, made 1958. I campaigned this one for several years on the US Army Air Defense Command pistol team.
3. High Standard Supematic, model S-101. One of these taught me to shoot a pistol.
4. Hammerli/Walther Olympia, 22 short. This design won the rapid fire match at the Berlin Olympics, in 1936. There were no Olympics in 1940 or 1944. In the London Olymics of 1948, everybody wanted the Walther for the rapid fire match, but Walther was in occupied Germany, unable to produce firearms. they licensed the design to Hammerli who produced it for several Olympics until eventually outmoded.
All are a LOT more accurate than I am.
5. Hammerli Model 103 free pistol. Marked 1948 London, 1952 Helsinki, so probably made between 1952 and 1956. Challenging to shoot, to say the least.

My "real" target gun. An Hammerli 280 22/32.
It's in the .32 configuration in this picture.

This Colt Officers Model Special, 4th issue is the most accurate 22 I have ever shot. It's the top one in the photo. The bottom one is the same model in 38 special. I own many more S&W revolvers than Colts, but these are amazing shooters.

It would take me all day to photograph and upload pictures of all the .22 Target pistols I have. Let's see, I have:
1 Model 17
2 Model 41s
A boatload of High Standard military grip models, including 2 Victors, 3 customized guns by John Giles, 2 with red dot sights, and a bunch of others with various barrels and factories.

Now if you want to go from the sublime to the ridiculous, here is probably the most precise gun I have ever owned.
(All I know for sure is that it humbled me every time I shot it...)

I've posted this before in other threads, but here ya go:
Harrington & Richardson "Expert" top-break circa 1938, inherited from Dad, who bought it new. It should have been called "Model 9999" because it has a 9" barrel, a 9 shot cylinder, an a 99 lb. DA trigger pull . Fortunately, the SA pull is very nice, at about 4 lbs.

Open up the grips and lube the main spring shoe. I have a 999 it’s hard on the da.
Does anyone own a heritage revolver in 22?

Let's start with three American classics:
S&W 41, The Victor and Colt Match Target
Entries from Germany are
S&S Trophy
Weihrauch Arminius HW9, a totally underrated ugly duckling:
Erma ESP85A
and Erma ESP85A Jägerschaftspistole
My favorite Korth
From Italy I only have the Beretta 71 currently, which is more of a plinker than serious target pistol
Belgian FN International Medalist 150. This gun is accurate, fun to shoot and virtually indestructible. My son will get one for Christmas this year.
France is represented with the DES-69, a very reliable and accurate pistol
From Switzerland the formidable Hammerli 208

211
and my long time favorite, the 212

Even the Colt Python is doing well as a rimfire target gun

I don't have one of the Kimber by itself, but it's nice to see it gets used. Kimber rimfire slide on a TLEII frame.
1931 K-22 and 1975 34-1 in their natural environment.
1933 Colt OMT.

A High Standard Citation, easily the most accurate pistol I own and an absolute pleasure to shoot.
A Colt Officers Model Match, which is as fine a target revolver as any.
But the sleeper of the bunch, is the 1938 Iver Johnson Supershot. The adjustable sight is a bit fiddly and the trigger could be better, but it will print neat and tidy groups with ordinary standard velocity ammo
