Default Went to the shop to look at a Model 41 but came home with this.

The 41 was not at all what I was looking for but a glint of gold caught my eye...a 1979 High Standard Victor in near perfect condition with original box and paperwork!

Ah, very nice choice. I know this is a S&W forum but when it comes to 22lr I think High Standard was right up there with the 41's. My The Victor is the most finicky when it comes to feeding rounds but once you get the magazne set just right with the particular ammo it likes they are wicked accurate!! Enjoy!

I have both along with a Citation and a Trophy, and if I had to choose just one, a High Standard will always be my choice above all else.

That's a nice collection you have there daddio202, I especially like that nickled Double nine! That's what I started learning to shoot with when I was 6 years old. I still have dad's ol' Double 9 and a lifetime of memories as it's what all 4 of my kids started with too.

I also have a '66 Supermatic Trophy and a '54 Duramatic! Both sweet guns now that they have good magazines and fresh recoil springs!
