I have the original Kimber Ultra CDP and original Pro CDP's and have gotten wonderful service out of them. I also have the much newer Super Carry Ultra and Super Carry Ultra+.

What do all of the above have in common besides the manufacturer's name?
None of them have the Swartz Safety System. I would never carry a defense gun with the Swartz Safety, nor would I recommend it to anyone else.
I don't want to hear a click instead of a bang when I need to deploy a gun to save my life. Note: all Kimbers with a II after their name have the Swartz Safety. If there's no II, it means it's a conventional 1911 design.
Do yourself a favor and look for either the Super Carry Ultra, or the Super Carry Ultra+.
This is my opinion, others may disagree.
