Default Dog P220 .45, to buy or not to buy?

I've been offered a Sig P220 .45. It has accessory rail, night sights, DAK trigger. Guessing it comes with two mags plus two additional 10 round mags. Only reason that I may be interested in it is because it seems like a good price. Was $530 before the addition of night sights and two extra ten round mags. I think I can get it for $575. Is this a good price?

I don't think that is a great price. It's a DAK. They are harder to sell and bring less money.
CDNN has CPO P220s with 2 mags at $549 with a 1 year warranty. They show out of stock but that is a price point for reference.
They show 2 in stock Elite P220s with 2 mags 1 year warranty $549. No rail. German built which I personally think are better guns. CDNN SPORTS - SIG SAUER P220 ELITE CARRY 45ACP CERT LN GERMAN

That isnt a DAK trigger, DAK is "Double Action Kellerman" and it would not have a spurred hammer or decocker.

It may be a short reset trigger.

If you can get it for $575 or less with the night sights, mags I think you are coming out decently.

The 10 round mags are usually $35-40 piece and the gun if you bought it outright online would be $530-550.

Definitely a decent price. Good luck!

The price may be a little high, but not terrible.
If that really is a DAK trigger, that would be a deal killer for me. I just don't like it.

It's definitely not a DAK. It has the decocker lever and a spur hammer.

I'm not sure about the price. I don't think I've ever seen that type of sight before. Looks a little weird to me. Fortunately, sights can be changed fairly easily. I'd say if the gun is in good shape and you like the sights, it may be a little high but not unreasonable. Personally, the sights might be a deal breaker for me at that price. I'd probably shop around a bit to see if I could find a better price, like the ones mbliss57 mentioned.

looks like a fiber optic front like the one on my p220 10mm. Rear sights look fishy. What is that, a German frame or all made in Exeter?

I think that the sale price isn't too bad. The SIG 45 is one of the most accurate production 45 autos ever produced. I think that you will be happy and very surprised if you get this gun. If the one you are considering is the one in the photo, it isn't (as has been pointed out) a DAK. It is a single/double action which is a very good action. The gun looks very good. I think that you will like it.

I have three 220's, all German, no rails! I haven't bought any for 20 years, but I'm thinking that price is above average. Your money your choice! But I would obviously pass!

While not on every street corner there are around 750,000 of various models in the US, police trade-ins and others sell every day for less!!!
