I'm pretty sure all standard 48's had a square tang and the Topper 48's had a round tang. My problem is I can find a lot of the round tang stocks but no square tang stocks. Does anyone know if the round tang can be worked/filed to fit a square tang?
Hoosier Gun Works lists and have pics of a square tang 48 stock that came of a line-gun....has a reinforcing screw added through the wrist...not too expensive?

Thanks for the heads up. Bad news is its a round tang and that bolt through it is just ugly. Would be easier to fix than the stock I have though.... if I can even fix that round tang part.
