First Gun of the Year-Ruger Redhawk w/ Range Report!
I bought this a couple of weeks ago, but today was the first time I had the chance to shoot it. I was not disappointed!
My initial testing was offhand at ten yards. I find that my offhand ten yard groups are almost exactly what I can shoot from a rest at 25. I also fired ten rounds at 20 yards, also offhand, at two blank pieces of paper, one large and one small. Not bad, but I could do better.
I first saw one of these on the cover of the 1979 Gun Digest, and have wanted one since. I was finally at the right place at the right time.

Oh man that's some sweet grouping. In my house, guns come and go, but I've never gotten rid of a gun I can group like that.

Nice Ruger. I also have wanted one ever since I saw my first. I never scratched that itch, unfortunately.
