Default Anyone have experience with the 224 Valkyrie?

So I can shoot sling prone thousand yard matches, I am building an upper for my target AR in 224 Valkyrie. As a hedge, looking to develop loads with heavier (80gr+) match bullets that remain supersonic at 1100 yards, which requires very high BC bullets. Unfortunately, Sierra MatchKings don't make the cut. Using my Sierra Infinity 6 program, Hornady 88gr ELDM bullets and Bergers will stay supersonic well beyond 1200 yards.

Can anyone suggest any other bullets, or loads? I will be using a 24" White Oak barrel with a 1:6.5" twist. Barrel profile is heavy match.

Thanks in advance for your help!

You are on the right track.I have been shooting the 224V since last April. I shoot it out to 1000 yds on a regular basis. Your 1/6.5 twist is IMO your best choice. My first rifle had a 1/7” twist and would not stabilize the 90 gr bullets to my satisfaction.
I have shot the 90-95 gr SMK out to 1000 yds with a Bartlien 1/6.5 24” bl and the Berger and Hornady 88 ELDs. My preference is the Hornady ELD’s and Berger’s at 1000 yds.
I have not had the opportunity to go beyond the 1000 yd range yet. I will later this year and will be shooting the ELD’s and VLD’s.
Power Pro 2000 is my powder of choice at this point with the the 88 gr bullets.

I was going to recommend the Berger Bullets VLD's, but Loc N Load, has said it all!
