My shooting buddy had this PP, but it bit the hand that fed it. He liked the gun, but hated the associated bloodshed, so he let me talk him out of it. I had shot it before and it didn't bite me, so a trade was accomplished.



It came with the box and papers, two mags, a cleaning rod, test target, and a tool for which I have not yet divined a purpose.



Its in good shape.



I like the attention to detail. The hammer has a groove through it see the loaded chamber indicator pin.



Test target - not too shabby for 15 meters.



Also came with a couple of holsters.



I've had a couple of Walthers before - a wartime PP that had been nickled after the war, and a PPK/S, both of which were traded off for things unknown now. I plan to hang on to this one. There is a "70" on the barrel under the other proof marks, so I'm guessing that is when it was made.

It is smaller, but heavier, than my current carrying .380. I'll give it a try in an inside the waistband holster.

Well I have a PPKS .380 and a Indian Arms.380 (Stainless copy of a Walther PPK) and like them both. Both are very dependable and I have shot a lot of lead hand loads among other ammo out of both guns.

Big fan. I'm pretty sure 70 is the year it was made, in Germany or in France (assembled in Germany.) Imported by Interarms after the 68 Gun Control Act. I've got a 68 PPK 7.65, says Made in West Germany on the frame, an 81 PPK/S, and a Ranger Interarms stainless in .380.

The tool is for removing the loaded chamber indicator. Had to remove mine, sans tool, to replace the spring.

The German guns are considered the best, the Manhurin (French) are equally esteemed, and the Interarms USA guns are right in there, the ones assembled in Ranger, AL. The S&W guns are not as popular...redesigned with a longer beavertail that to me ruins the look of the gun...and less face it, looks on a PP family of pistols is very important. Apparently, shooters were getting slide bite which led to the unsightly mod.

For purists, the .32 is more popular. Many of those on the Walther board don't like the recoil of the .380, but it doesn't bother me and my .380 PPK is more accurate than my .32.

I shoot hardball in mine and it shoots reliably. Haven't tried HPs.

And the box, target, Walther-marked mags and manual add considerably to the value. Pretty valuable package you have there.

The Walther PPK/S is my absolute all-time favorite semiautomatic pistol. The PPK/S is basically the slide/barrel of the PPK on the frame of the PP, made by Walther to bypass the worthless Gun Control Act of 1968 rendering the PPK ineligible for import into the USA. Fortunately, they were able to get around that by licensing the rights to the PPK out to domestic manufacturers, and nowadays Walther makes them in the USA themselves, but the PPK/S remains in production regardless because it fits better in larger hands.

I still carry a S&W PPK/S occasionally. My LCP is smaller/lighter, so it gets carried more, but the PPK/S is more accurate and fits my hand just right.

Good catch sir, Congrats! I picked mine up last year from a local fella who didn't know what he had. But, no box or target, etc. I finally found a correct box on the flea place but it set me back $80. I blame this (now) obsession on the Beretta 81's that showed up last year. Suddenly, I realized that I only had two .32's. Much better now but still looking for a PPK in .32 ... and an S&W something to match my equally nice Colt Police Positive in .32 Long.

I have a fond admiration for the Walthers too, very well made and historically significant also. I carry my S&W (stainless one) sometimes too.
The tool is called the "olive fork" and used for removing the firing pin (I believe).
I stand corrected, the loaded chamber indicator as per another post.

I had a PP in .32 a few years ago. It was a great shooter. Classic look, dependable and accurate.

Ive got an old PP complete with the nazi commercial proofs. All matching serial numbers, LGS said it came out of an estate and was said to be a vet bring back. The machining is very crude compared to the above pictured ones.

Sweet little pistol.

I had to get one after getting the Beretta 81 and learning about
the heavy bullet thread on 32ACP's at castboolits.

Found one on Gunbroker that was a "parts gun". Turns out it came
out of Florida and had a bunch of surface rust. Inside it was about
new.I'm pretty sure it was police surplus.

After seeing what fun these 2 were I added a CZ 27.

If you can get one, the PP is well worth it. I'm going to look for
another that doesn't have the rust.

Is it in 32 or 380? I have one of the FEG clones in 32. Super gun once I upped the recoil spring and went down on the hammer spring.

Very nice....

I have two PPs, a .22 and a .32... Have had several .380s and couple other .22s over the years but just found that .380s, because of the blowback design, just were not pleasant to shoot...
