Very nice! Never seen one of those before. You might want to turn the back scope ring around to hold the scope behind the turret. That's one of the few Pythons I've seen that I think is worth the price.

I remember reading about that model when they first came out. I don't believe they made very many of them.

I believe it was mounted like that at the Colt factory, so I’ll let it be.

Are you saying that you got all 3 guns for $2200? If so, that is an incredible steal. Well done!!

Very nice find. Colt marketed a similar model of the Python called, I believe, "The Whitetailer", or such. Had a chance to buy one back then but didn't. Wish I had...

Wow! You got a Colt Python Silhouette with the correct Leopold 2x scope for $2200? As expensive as that is, I think you got a really good deal. I think the Silhouette was only made in 1983, the Hunter was made only in 1981.

If you take off the scope, cut 2" off of the barrel, and put proper wooden stocks on it, you'll have a beautiful revolver. LOL.

That is a great price for that gun. I've seen them go as high as $4500 with the original box and tools. I think there were only 250 of them. Sold mine for $3000 a few years ago. Enjoy.

Went to the 50 meters indoor range in order to sight it in
First 5 shots, looks like it set up for 200 meters with a slight crosswind
Then I noticed the mount was a little loose, tightened it and back at it. First correct the elevation
Ok but it’s hitting left
Right
Left again argh
Ok, looks good enough to me
Now I’ve got to practice some
I also took along a S&W 629-2 Classic Hunter with an 8 3/8 barrel and a Leupold variable scope.

Congratulations, that is a spectacular deal on a very fine revolver
I have always had a fondness for the long barreled Pythons.
However I am not a big fan of Colt providing the Colt/Pachmayr grip in place of wood grips. I had to take the rubber off mine
