FWIW a Bianchi Accumold single magazine pouch makes an excellent replacement sheath for a Buck 110. I have a couple that are 20 years old.

This actually is my 110.

I use to, but I now carry (EDC) an older style 3.5" pocket knife with 3 blades that I find much handier and each blade is specific to different tasks. On occasion I still will throw the Buck 110 into my gear bag when at the Hunting Cabin, but I can't say it's often. If someone wants to borrow a knife I will give them the 110 as I am not sentimentally attached to it and it is a fairly strong knife. While good for larger tasks I find the 110 a bit cumbersome for delicate work.

I have, quite a bit. Older now and go for a Benchmade 470 as my EDC.

I've had a Buck Stockman since 1975 and a 110 since 1977. Both classic great knives. But 2 years ago I purchased a limited edition Buck 112 with camel bone scales. Fantastic knife and great size. As much as I love the 110, I find the size of the 112 to be a little easier to carry and therefore potentially used more. I think many would be better served by checking out the 112.

I've been exposed to Buck 110's my whole life. My grandfather, dad and uncle all had them. I bought my own in 1994. I was like many others in my Department to carry a 110 for duty.

Within the span of a career the 110's have been cast aside for the various thumb assisted blades (for good reason and I do get the rational). Two years ago my team had a homicide where a 110 was the weapon of choice. To my guys it was just a knife, but I was rather intrigued by it because of my lifetime exposure to them and also because it used to be my carry knife. The following day I explained the history of the 110 to my team and how it used to be THE knife their predecessors would have been carrying with them back in the day.

They are a bunch of good younger guys, and they were actually quite interested in hearing how the carry blade had changed over the years. To drive the point home to them, and to reward them on a job well done in the investigation (suspect caught within minutes and viable witnesses identified), I ordered each of them a genuine 110 to use it in any way they saw fit. They truly did appreciate the gesture and I do believe they will always remember how iconic the 110 is. I even showed them how to decipher the date code and showed them how theirs was different from mine.

For me personally my 110 is now my truck knife, my carry knives are now assisted blades just like the younger guys. After some thought and reminiscence I think I will order one up for my 24 year old son and have a discussion with him too, he kinda missed my 110 era.

I packed a Stockmam 301 for decades before losing it.

Nowadays I carry a Kershaw Leek.

I might pack a 110 tomorrow, just for grins.

Ran across my old one the other day. Black sheath worn to almost tan, brass knife frame almost green with verdigris. Blade sharpened so many times it had started taking on the profile of a filet knife

I recall way back when that Buck had great customer service and one could ship them a very worn, or even sometimes abused product and they'd refurbish/rebuild for almost nothing. Not sure if that's still the case.
It's as if you just described mine.

Yes I have a 110 and will probably be planted with it or one of them.
A bit heavy but it can’t be beat for a belt folder that can do everything.

I bought this one in late 1973 and I filed the finger grooves in sometime around 1976. The original sheath bit the dust long ago and a friend made this one for me in 1978. I carried it every day and used it hard. The blade got so thin from sharpening that I got nervous using it so I retired it to my shop for light work. Two summers ago I was going through Post Falls and stopped in to see if they could replace the blade. They said can do and the cost will be $10 and if you want to wait we'll have it done in about 10 minutes. The guy asked how old it was and I told him it was from '73 and he said I got my money's worth out of that blade. Sure enough he comes back out with the knife and it's got a new blade and they polished most of the dents and dings out. He handed me the knife and said "no charge"! That's what I call customer service!

My old knife with a new blade and many more years of service.

Yep, I have. The knife shown below is a custom Buck 110 which I ordered after taking the Buck factory tour in Post Falls, Idaho. It is a handsome knife but is something of a safe queen.

I was in Spokane, WA for the S&WCA Annual Symposium a few years back. One of the Symposium activities was the chance to take that factory tour. That tour impressed the heck out of me and convinced me that I "needed" a nice 110. I liked being able to specify just about every feature I wanted. I was very happy with the end result.

I did during my "construction period" 1980-1986. Hard use every day. A little too heavy for EDC now, especially working in a gov't school. Joe

I bought mine in 1979. Never really carried it, but it has been my "go to" workbench knife for years.

I keep a 112 in the range bag
My Buck Custom Shop 110 with matching 119. Both have S30V steel, cherry scales, nickel silver bolsters. The drop point blade is an option on the 110 from the custom shop. I also have a matching 112 not pictured.

Not my EDC ( I carry an auto), but my "everything else" knife. 38 years old, and as good as new.

Not a Buck 110, but it's Shrade cousin, the LB7. I got it from a guy who was "advised" by the Las Vegas Metro Police to get out of town, and he needed money to do it, and he came into the casino I was security at and sold me a bunch of stuff. I only had like $72 until payday, and at the end, we were at $70 for the whole load, Spare tire and wheel from his car, a new Craftsman torque wrench, a set of steak knives I still use 40 years later, and finally the knife, which I got for the last 2 bucks. It was in new shape back then. One of the marks on it was from using it to knock some idiot's teeth out when he tried to take my gun, which that day was an S&W 28-2. It's in my left pocket where it's been since the day I bought it. It replaced the Buck 110 I bought at my dad's store in 1971 or so and lost somehow.

I like Buck 110's. I have a standard 110 with black leather sheath. I have a Cabela's etched 110 with leather sheath. I have my Buck 110 Automatic, pictured above. Here are my three collectible ones. The top one is an aftermarket remodeled mammoth knife. The second one is a Custom Shop Sambar Stag knife. The bottom one is a Custom Shop Oak handled knife I had done to celebrate Clemson's 2016 National Championship. I think that is all of them.

I did cary a 110 with the black pouch it came with until I kinda found it too much to have with a cellphone and keys in my pocket and an M&P9c in my waistband.

I got a smaller Buck 341 Vantage that I carry clipped in my pocket, pictured second from right.

Top knife was my dad’s that he carried as far back as I can remember. The bottom is my new custom 110 EDC. It was something I’ve wanted to do for a while. Hard chrome with cherry wood and an S30V steel blade... just the way I wanted it. Fit is excellent. Tighter than a steel drum and super sharp out of the box!

Cool thing about Buck, on their web page they have the diagram of the markings that can date the knives also. I never realized that the small markings by the 110 were date codes.

Found mine sticking up out of the sand on Sicily Drop Zone at FT Bragg in the 80's. Carried it in a rigger made belt pouch, later found the black leather Buck pouch for it. Still one of my favorites.

Here is one you don’t see often. Same blade shape as a 110 but engraved aluminum handles. These came during the Rbinestone cowboy days. This one is LNIB.

Photos of my 110. It is scratched up, but looks like it has never been sharpened.

Have a blessed day,
