Very nice. I had a Gold Cup in the mid 70s that I enjoyed shooting. Hope yours shoots well.

their are 2 models of Colts that i like 1911''s and model M
I have posted this before,same artist did thr grip schrimshaw

Those are nicely scrimshawed grips
I might need new glasses, but scrimshaw and photographs sure look a lot different

I too am a Big Fan of John Mosses Borrowing's 1911
It is one of my favorite types of firearm to carry

Walter o, based on serial numbers, I probably got my 1st Gold Cup about 4/5 years after you. While I still own that original 1970s Gold Cup, it has had lots of ammo thru it during the IPSC years and is now semi retired. It's brothers carry on the tradition
