Sweet , never had an A R platform in 7.62 x 39 .what kind of sighting system are you gonna run . iron , scope magnification , red dot . to each his own , just curious . i have a Holosun dot on my A K and really like it . learning to shoot with both eyes open in a rifle was kind of fun . again congrats , enjoy . kenny , mauriceville texas , USA

A few years ago I looked at building a 7.62x39 AR. I was wanting to make subsonic ammo and the 300 Blackout came along. So that ended that idea.
In my research I found several times that magazines can be VERY problematic! The only recommended mags were Colt mags. Of course, they are the rarest and most expensive!

Magpul mbus front and rear and probably a holosun red dot. Im debating on the red dot or a variable power like a 1-4 on it.

I have a holosun 503gu with the eotech circle dot reticle on one of my ak's and I love it as well.

I am gonna be building another one with spikes tactical upper and lower with a faxon barrel. I had one previously and with the black rifle arms extended firing pin and using c products defense mags it functioned flawlessly.
