I like it, like all of your knives that I have seen. Good functional design, in a practical size. I too am interested in the details of the burlap handle.

I'd like to see the handle in greater detail. Ditto for the blade etching. Looks great, though.

Thanks. I’ll post up some closer photos. The handle is burlap micarta. Which isn’t a true micarta but more of a epoxy laminate. I put typically purchase handle material. It’s made with burlap layers and G10 liners, which isn’t visible in the photo.
I’ll get the pictures posted a little later today. Not much going on in NC due to the closings and shutdowns.

Lee, I am the maker. This blade is 8.25" OAL with a 4" blade.
Here are some more detailed photos.
This shot shows the etching. To get this pattern I etch in ferric chloride three or four times. It is purely cosmetic. I like the look, others may not.
Another look from a different angle detailing the G10 liner.
A close up showing the course texture of the burlap. Again this is multiple layers of burlap laminated in epoxy. The handle is epoxied to the blade, the pins are G10.
Top shot showing contoured handle.

I like it. The etching looks great. The handle looks like a corncob. Very nice knife.

opaul, that's a great looking knife. I really appreciate the shape and lines of the blade (with the slight drop point). The liner and handle really look good together. I like the etching, but it would still look good without it.
To me it would be a great hunting/camp knife......one you would be proud to have.

Thanks so much for posting the more detailed photos. That knife looks really sharp...no pun intended (well, maybe just a little).
What do you do with the knives you make? Keep them? Sell them at shows? Give them to deserving relatives? Just curious.

My wife bought me one of opaul's knives for Christmas a few
years ago. So, some are available for purchase.
Mine has a shorter blade and birdseye maple scales. It is a good-looking knife.
