Just added the two on top to my growing SAA collection.
Beretta (Uberti made) Stampede, smoked nickel, 7.5" 45LC,
Uberti Cattlemen, case hardened, blued with brass frame, 5.5" 45LC,
Ruger Vequero, bright stainless, 4.75" 45LC.
I just need some rigs now!

The one that REALLY Shoots is my Bob Munden. Finished in bright nickel and fire blue this thing is like a phaser in my hand. Bob supplied these in little treasure chests with the revolver hidden under a tray of gold nuggets . . . . Kind of Cute

There are various other Colt's and other stuff.

One of my Favorites is a USFA 12-22. Yes a 12 shot 22 LR Single Action Army. It is full size so due to the very small bore, it feels quite heavy

My friend Red Nichols got me excited about this one on the left a while
back. It was made in the early 1950s by Eubanks. Shown with my Colt's
Cavalry replica. The belt is from Texas Gunslinger.

2nd from left is a Lawrence "Keith" model 120 in basket weave. Same
Colt's replica. Cowtown belt.

3rd from left is a Hunter model 3100 (carved). Cowtown cartridge belt
again.

Red Nichols has Tom Threeperson's original holster. Back when he made
replicas he gave me the number one prototype. Here it is on one of his
Sidewinder belts. Tom's holster was also 5.5" but he carried a 4.75"
SAA in it. Mine is also 5.5" with a 4.75" replica.

5th from left is Bucheimer-Clark's Rebel Model 98. It's a pretty close
copy of Threeperson's original. On a Haugen gun belt, and also with
my 4.75" replica.

I told my LGS when I came back to pick up the "Stampede" off law-a-way if he had the Ruger Birds Head he had at the time I'd take it too, but it was gone

. However, I do want a shop keepers birds head of some sorts in my collection for sure. Nice guns by the way.

I display my replicas on my office wall with their favorite rigs.
But I keep my real guns in a walk in vault with good lock on the door.

My only clone, but I do have a brass backstrap Pietta on the way. This Cimarron Uberti model p with sambar stags added.

this one long gone, but it did scratch the bling itch. 1st gen 38-40, for real pearls, Cole Agee engraved (maybe).

1st gen from 1924. My favorite

Bought these back when they were $995 each. Unfired, gave them to my son Christmas 2018.

I just took this the other day checking out what 7 1/2" Colts I have. Top nickel .45 from 1958. A nickel Centennial .44-40, cased 1900 Bisley .44 Special, on the right a '58 .44 Special and 2nd generation 1851 Navy.

I love levers and have an easy dozen of them chambered in 22Lr, 357 Matgnum, 41 Magnum, 45 Long Colt, 30-30 Winchester and 45-70. Now spread those over a few different styles including Mare's Legs and we have a corral full

A couple of summers ago, I took my 45 Long Colt, Marlin lever gun and started the process of turning it into a take down

The forend was shortened and a stainless block was machined to match the contour of the receiver. You can see the ball bearing detent that was installed into the bottom of the block/ Further, the magazine tube slides back into the receiver to prevent rotation of the two pieces. The magazine tube has a lcok that prevents it from moving out

The total package still looks good and shoots good when assembled.

For a moment I was contemplating doing this to my 45-70 Marlin as well, but with 24" barrels, it is big even as a take down

Post this picture years before. Both 3th generation Colt SAA are in my collection. One is in .45 Colt the other in .357 magnum. Both are made mid 1980. Still love them.

This is three of my Colts. Top to bottom: .45 Colt made in 1881, .38-40 made in 1899 and a .32-20 made in 1907. The clouds of smoke from the blackpower loads in the .45 are impressive.

Besides revolvers lever guns are my favorite, especially the old ones, and I've been lucky enough to accumulates several dozen from pawn shops. So here's a gaggle of old, octagon barrel cowboy guns.

Not all cowboy long guns were lever actions. Colt introduced the Lightning pump in 1884. These are a .32-20 made in 1897 and .38-40 made in 1896.

Wow!!! Some of those are just downright gorgeous!! Here are some of mine. Not real fancy, but certainly functional.

Many years ago when I was "playing cowboy," the country where the ranch was located had a lot of thick timber-covered, mountainous areas...black bear country. Our foreman wanted all of us carrying a revolver when horseback away from the ranch headquarters, and he preferred we carried a single-action because, as he put it, "Even when it's dirty, it'll still work!"

I guess old habits die hard because I still carry a single-action when I'm horseback up in the hills.

Here's some short ones. Cut down 5" renickeled 1890 .44-40, pearl handled 1992 .44-40 with a .44 Spl. cylinder only, engraved .45s, 1957 & 1920, and a 1911 .45 on the bottom rebuilt by Colt in 1969. I got the original .32-20 parts for it.

Well, I have shown these on the Forum a time or two already but, okay.....!

Ruger Vaqueros - old model - .45 Colt

Charles Daly SAA replica - .45 Colt

And because they're pretty and definitely SAA replicas in their own right, an original Ruger Single Six. .22 LR, unmodified, a later Ruger Single Six with transfer bar, .22 WMR (oops - that's not the correct order in the picture!), and a Ruger Bearcat, old style, .22 LR, unmodified. Interestingly, to the best of my knowledge, the Colt Paterson model and the Bearcat are similarly sized.

Several others that I owned have moved on to other owners, including two original Vaqueros in .44-40 and a 5 inch barreled Vaquero in .45 Colt. But the most interesting SAA replica that I ever owned was my first, an Armi San Marco in .45 Colt with a true Hollywood bird's head grip-frame. Gorgeous gun but it had issues so I sent it to Bob Munden. He fixed it but he made the trigger so light only a super competitor could handle it and I was then just starting in cowboy shooting so I had to sell it for a gun with a more "conservative" trigger. That Charles Daly pictured above is straight from the factory and it's trigger is nearly as light as the one that Bob M did for me so I never used it to compete. But I kept it because it's such a cool gun!!!!

I picked-up the Holster and Yellowboy from the same Pawn Shop. The Holster is made local to me by Wm. Brown Holster Co. in Tombstone, AZ and was designed by a local ex-stuntman. Might have even been his? I got it for less than 1/2 of what they go for new.

The Dixie Gun Works Uberti 1866 Yellowboy has an Indian tack design. And although Uberti used to offer a model like it, I think it was done by the previous owner. It was probably someones SASS gun. Someone here might even recognize it? It's in .44-40, and shoots like a dream with my reloads.

The ISM (EMF Import) Black powder frame SAA came from a local gun shop for around $300. It too is a .44-40 & had been sitting there for awhile. I guess nobody likes calibers that aren't readily available. I reload, so more for me.
