Remington Master Class
I have collected and hunted with Remington rifles for over forty years. A few of my favorites are the "Masters"....FieldMaster, WoodsMaster, GameMaster. They were built during the heyday of firearm advertising, promotion, and marketing. They were also expensive to build and in some instances, overly complicated in regards to number of parts and how they interacted with each other. They faded from the catalog after about 1950. But boy are they fun to shoot and just a joy to behold.
There are other Masters, like TargetMaster and SpeedMaster. Maybe some of you Remington fans could post some pics of those and any others you are fond of.
The Model 81 here is in .300 Savage (a wonderful round) and the Model 141 is in the no nonsense .35 Remington caliber.
The Model 25 does not have a Master moniker but thought I'd throw in a photo of it also. It is chambered in .32-20.
edit: I have no idea why my pictures have rotated to a sideways view...that's the last time I take gun photos with a cellphone (ugh).

Reason: photo frustration

Awesome pics of some quality Remingtons from the past. Been a Remington fan myself but no vintage models in my possession. Been very satisfied with my Model Four in .270 and a TB trap 1100 bought back in 81.

Not my only Remington "Master", but my favorite, the Fieldmaster:
I like it better than a Winchester 61, but I'm probably in the minority.

Bullet Bob,
I love those old advertising flyers. Great window into the past. Yes the 121 is cooler than the Win 61 in my opinion.

I had a Fieldmaster(my grandson has it now) that I bought just before they changed models. It has killed many a squirrel and is still in excellent condition. Probably my all time favorite gun.

Quality just oozes off those vintage guns. Sure they would cost a pretty penny if built today. They sure look like they should sell used today for more than they often do. Nice pics.
