Default High Standard K120

I picked this up awhile back. Nothing special at all about it, although this model shot gun was used by Steve McQueen in the Getaway. I didn't know when I got it from a LGS. The action is really slick, maybe to slick and the overall weight is heavy. Having a lot of time on my hands lately I dressed the old soldier up with a heat shield and new front sight. Both not necessary but I like it and messing around during these uncharted times.

Those High Standards are quality firearms. I always keep an eye out for the shotguns and their "lesser" department store counterparts. Looks nice, enjoy.

A little heavier than 870 but a better gun. You can pick them up under Sears label for $100. They made good slug guns because of solid frame construction.

Thanks. Do you remember what model to look for? I’m in the collecting riot gun stage.

That is really a handsome shotgun.

I've often thought of getting one that looks like the "trench" guns of the WW2 era. That fills the bill nicely.

IIRC, the 18" bbl, full length magazine tube and front bead was the Model 8111. The same gun, but with adjustable sights, was the 8113. Is this what you're looking for?
