Nice guns. I down own any .357 Magnum Revolvers, I'm more into larger caliber bullets like .44 Special, .44 Magnum, or .45 Long Colt.
If I were going to own a .357 Magnum Revolver though, then I'd want something like a S&W TRR8 or a Ruger Redhawk, a high capacity, large frame .357 Magnum Revolver.

Yeah, baby! Gorgeous collection. I can't match it but I'll show you a few.

Model 19 - sadly, got water stains in my 2018 fire so I let it go:

I had a couple of 2.5" Model 19s but they're gone, too so I'll omit them.
Ruger Security Six 2.5" with Hogue target grips (I know, who does that, but they work great together!)

Here are three pretty significant ones of the many I own. From left to right a first year (1954) Highway Patrolman, a model 13 and a Colt 357, the progenitor of what would become the Python. It is far rarer than the Python, and this one is very early production.

Here's a couple of good ones: a Colt Trooper and a S&W Highway Patrolman.
Next up is a 66-2 2.5" The interloper is a single stack 4013.
Top one is a 686 Mountain Gun.
I also have a 60-9 but no photos of it.
The first photo doesn't enlarge well due to older low res camera.

I have a 6 inch 586 no dash M.
Also a 2 1/2 inch 66-4.
I always thought they’d be the only 2 .357s I’d ever need, but after seeing your collection I’m rethinking that.

I've only got three, all Smiths.
My 66-2. My very first handgun from back in 1989. This picture was from my "dishwasher safe" phase. Currently the gun wears Ahrends smooth tacticals
My 6" 27-2, magnas and BK adapter
And finally, the newest acquisition is my long tom nickel 27-2, with Ahrends retro targets
This represents the alpha and the omega, as the 66 was my first, and these two 27s are my most recent.

None even come close to that 1950 3.5" Pre-27. I'd give the other Smith's second place, and the Pythons 3rd. All in the eye of the beholder of course...

Two for me, The 686 bought used in late 80s, it was a boat gun for years and has a few specks and pits, not bad though.
the Python bought new early 80s.

I had the Ruger Blackhawk 3 screw flattop .357 with the 6 1/2" barrel. I don't have a picture of it and I've sold it. But the other day I was going through some papers in the safe and found the receipt for it. Back in 1964 I paid $74.85 for it brand new.

In the early 80s I decided that the S&W .357 would be my "go to" revolver caliber.........shot shells, .38 wadcutters to a range of .38sp +P+ and an equally wide range of .357s from 110 gr to 158 either soft point or hollow point.
Today I have S&W .357s in J,K,L and N frames with 2 1/2 ,3,4 and 6 inches barrels
IMHO a 4" 686 is the best duty/utility/general purpose revolver one can own!!
The pride and joy of my current guns are my 6 1/2 inch 1939 Registered Magnum and two 3" 66s I bought when no one wanted them 1988/89....... and one I found used in a LGS marked as a "S&W .357 2 1/2" " for $325.

I grew up when the .357 was revered and feared. It never went out of style for me and remains one of the best rounds available and fills many needs.
I am the current caretaker of these and others. A Mod. 686-3, 2.5", a Mod. 66-2, 2.5" with Gashorn stag grips, a Mod. 66-2, 2.5" , a Mod. 686, 6" no dash and a Mod. 28-2, 6".

OMG, love those Pythons. I think there is nothing scarier than looking down the barrel of a 4" or 6" .357 revolver. They just look nasty and ready to do business. My home defense is a 12 gauge and a 4" .357 7 shot with 4 Tuffy strips handy.

I'm older and the 357 was the feared round. I watched Dirty Harry when it came out and the 44 magnum was awesome but you had to be Clint Eastwood to carry that kind of gun for a carry gun. Even when Magnum force came out no one was manly enough.
I own the Dan Wesson 357, 2.5, 4, 6 and 8 inch barrels. The are interchangeable barrels. I bought a 4 inch 44, when I was in Iraq I emailed them and asked for a 2.5 inch barrel, they said they didn't make one. I sent a bunch of pictures around Iraq and told them if they had any questions let me know. They emailed me back and said they would make me the barrel. So know I have it in 4 inch and 2.5 inch.
Its too ad the market is not big for them. They made a heavy gun, great for buffalo rounds, but its not a small conceal carry gun.

Only 357 magnum I own is a Colt Trooper MKIII. Probably the most accurate revolver I own. And I.m not all that good with a revolver,but this one makes me look good. Nothing fancy just a plain working man's revolver. And the other 357 is a Marlin 1894 that flat out shoots. Not sure what model would have to take a look. Didn't cost all that much. $160 that's all.Kinda freckled but barrel is nice so definitely got my money's worth. My other 1894 is in 44magnum. I calls it thumper. that one was a little more expensive at $240.Frank

I like my 45Colt, 44Rem Mags, and 44S&W Specials.
My Circa '93 S&W 686-3 357Rem Mag 6-1/2"Bbl holds
a special place. The frame size is nice, the trigger is
very nice, and it is Deadly accurate.
My current 357mag Reload: 148gr LDEWC/3.0grs Alliant
Red Dot/CCI SP primer/357 Nickel Win and Starline
brass/700fps?

My first handgun was a 357, a Model 19. I'm pretty sure my last one will be a 357 also. I don't know how many I've owned over the years but I think I've got five of them now. Nothing fancy...just mundane stuff.
