Howdy - I picked up a Ruger New Model Blackhawk .44spl flattop Bisley for a pretty nice price. Why? Welllll, seems Bubba decided to "thin" the front sight blade with his Dremel. You now know why the price was so nice.
Ruger can replace the front sight assembly, which also requires a polish and re-blue, for around $225 which means the price is no longer so great.
I'm wondering if any of the gunsmiths on our forum can suggest a way to cut the blade from the base, cut a groove in the top of the base and pin a correct blade into the groove. I can't possibly make it any worse than it is now, so give me your best advice
Thanks
