Winchester Boy Scout 9422
Does anyone know how many BS commemorative 9422's were made?

25,000. There were 5000 of the Eagle Scout Winchester 9422's.

The trick is to find a Boy Scout Winchester with a serial number under 5000 (got one) and match it up to the Eagle Scout Winchester with the same serial number. I sold my second Boy Scout Winchester to a buddy of mine last year. His son just crossed over from Webelos to Boy Scouts this spring. I know what he's getting if he gets his Eagle. I also gave him a 1950's Eagle medal to give to his son when the day comes.

Sickens me what has happened to the Scouts. What a Sick World were in. I learned basic gun safety from then well before I entered the service.

My dad was a Scoutmaster for many years. He grew up during the Depression and was never a scout himself. However, he saw to it that many hundreds of boys were.
I saw these guns advertised in Shotgun News by J&G many years ago and my brother and I gave it to him for his birthday. He hung it in the house and it was still there the day he died.
I have thought about donating it to the scouts in the small town we lived in and let them auction or raffle it off for funds. My son doesn't have any interest and I don't know if my brother's grandkids are in scouting or not.
It is unfired, has the tag on the lever and I still have the box.

These should be excellent shooting rifles, but at a Friends of NRA dinner a few years ago, we had one in the auction and couldn't get but $225 bid for it. I thought is should have brought $350-$400 at least.
