I have been working on some of my project guns while spending so much time at home lately. As a copier tech we are considered "essential personnel" but there are still days when I do not leave the house.
I bought a Glock pattern AR9 a few months back and decided I wanted a pistol that used the same magazines. I am not at all a fan of the Glock frame though, so I had planned to get one of the Polymer 80 frames and build my own G17. I ordered my P80 frame back in early February but they seemed to be backordered. After a couple emails trying to get a estimated shipping date were answered with "Thank you for your order, we will contact you when it ships" I decided to cancel that order. I saw AIM Surplus was carrying serialized stripped frames from Grey Ghost Precision and ordered one of them. It arrived last night and I was finally able to use all the parts I had sitting around waiting. Now I just need to be able to get to the range with the AR9 and this G17. Will post results whenever that happens.
