357 Firearms
Just trying to remember all the brands of 357 weapons that I've owned:
01) Smith & Wesson
02) Dan Wesson
03) Thompson Center
04) Colt
05) Astra
06) Saur & Shon
07) Uberti
08) Ruger
09) Taurus
10) Rossi model 92
11) Marlin 1894
12) Savage 24
13) O. M. Mossberg
14) Virginia Dragoon
15) American Derringer
16) Bond Arms
17) Armi San Marcos
18) Pieta
* I'm thinking one or two more imports, but If I can't remember who made them, I can't claim them! I also have had several more 38 Specials, but only 357's count!
List how many you can remember THAT YOU OWNED! (currently and in the past)

My 357's are all still with me. They are not rare, overly expensive or militarily significant, but they are my shooters.

Texas Longhorn Arms, a Grizzly LAR, a couple DW’s, and the usual Colts, s&w’s, & Rugers.
No rifles yet, but got an eye out for a Miroku 1892.

For a revolver, why own anything other than a nice, vintage Smith? I do have stainless Ruger Security Six for something different, and a Rossi M92 for a rifle and I like them both a lot.

Bought new in 1971 Ruger Blackhawk
" But one gun is all you need if you can use it ." ..... Shane
I have learned how to use it , I still have it and see no reason to change the situation . The old Blackhawk suits me just fine .

I had a model 27 but someone liked it better than I, so I let it go.
Picture on the left.
I had a Taurus model 605 but didn't even bother taking a photo.
Had a Ruger SP101, shown 2nd from left with my LCR keeping
it company, but culled it out.
Had a S&W model 60, 3rd from left, with my 642-1 keeping it company,
but culled it out too.
Still have my model 19, 4th from left. They will have to peel it
out of my cold dead hands.

I have lots of the models listed, but was hoping to find one not listed yet.
I'll add to the list an Arminius out of Germany.
I've only seen 2 Arminius's that were not ugly and poorly made. I have one of them.
It's an old SAA with 7 1/2" barrel and fixed trough rear sight. Shoots absolutely fantastic out to 100 yards. That's why I've still got it.

Mid 1970's Ruger Police Service (Security Six w/o rear sight) for a few years.
C.O.P. 4 barrel derringer mid 80's. Piece of junk. Had it for a little while until I tried it out. Couldn't hit an adversary with it if farther than 10 feet but that's probably it's intended use anyway. Too heavy and blocky to conceal.
Mid 80's graduated to 44 mag and never looked back. Not knocking the 357. We all have our prefs.

Pretty easy question for me:
Colt Trooper
Cot Python
S&W 27
S&W 19
Dan Wesson 15
S&W 586 ..4"
S&W 586 ..6"
The only one I still own is the last one on the list.

HAD: Colt Trooper
Ruger Security Six, couple Blackhawks
S&W 19, 66 (state issued), 28x2
HAVE: Colt Lawman
Ruger Blackhawk
S&W 586, 28
Except for duty use, and PPC (38 spl use), I have always been more of a .44 mag guy, mostly in N frames and RSBH's.
Ivan - How about the strange looking Italian Chippewa .357 revolver, forget the name, with the upside down barrel?

I have had a Ruger Blackhawk, a couple security sixes, and a High Standard.
I now own about a dozen S&W 357 AJ some Ks and mostly Ns. Interestingly no L frame 357s. All my L frames are 44 5 shooters, all but the 69 being specials.
I just can't wrap my head around pistol carbines. Not that I wouldn't mind having a 45 colt lever gun, but I don't see an advantage over small bottle necks. Not enough velocity to take advantage of the longer barrel like even a 30-30. 30-30, 170 gr at 2200fps plus from a 16" barrel. 357 mag 158 gr at maybe 1800fps

The .357 Carbine makes a nice light handy utility rifle east of the Mississippi. In my neck of Penn's Woods most field shooting is in small(er) fields or hardwood forests at < 100yds. Plus one pairs nicely with a Smith Revolver........ the 5 shot (detachable magazine), Ruger 77/357 with an 18" barrel, all stainless, synthetic stock and 1-3x20 Weaver shotgun scope is a nice take along for a RZR ride.
Truthfully my 16" Winchester Trapper (no cross-bolt safety) with Skinner barrel peep sight is to nice to take along.

Just to be different, here are my 357 firearms. Maybe not what the OP intended, but they are 357 firearms.
Top to bottom: SIG P229; M&P 40c with Storm Lake 357 SIG conversion barrel; SIG P320 compact.
So there!

357 brands and models I own.
S&W 19, 60, 65 and 686
Ruger Blackhawk
Dan Wesson 15-2, 715 and 714
Colt new King Cobra
Marlin 1894
Rossi 92
Needless to say it’s the caliber I own the most guns of. I actually didn’t realize how many until I started thinking. 12 S&W revolvers alone

I had to go to my inventory to look and it surprised me when I counted them. I currently have thirty .357's but only five brands. Twenty-six are handguns: twenty S&W's, four Ruger's, one Colt and one Coonan Arms. Also have four Marlin lever actions. Fourteen of the revolvers came from the same shop. It's a police supply store. They get police trade-in guns and confiscated guns and sell them cheap.

I have all the usuals Smith, Ruger, Colt, & Marlin. A couple of unusuals western style older Sauer, Astra snub (very good shooter). In the late 1970s, I had a original Winchester 92 carbine in 32-20 that had been converted to 357 magnum and was the best pistol caliber carbine I ever fired. Life got in the way and I had to sell it. I have hunted for a replacement since 1990 and found one in 1998 but the owner wanted $2800 for it. I passed. Not seen one since.

I actually had to make a quick records check to know.
I currently own 13 .357 Magnum firearms.
1 Ruger Security Six 4"
2 Colts: Python and Trooper MK III both are 6"
1 Rossi 92 Trapper
9 S&Ws in K, L, and N frames and various barrel lengths.
I guess I need to buy one more to get away from that unlucky 13?

Better get two so you can maintain proper social distancing from unlucky # 13.
