Default Very unusual Colt revolver

This Colt may be common knowledge to Colt collectors, but new to me.

A true Colt fancier would know about. I have actually seen and held one.

There are plenty of unusual Colts out there. This is a .22 Camp Perry model, a single shot designed for slow fire bullseye competition in the pre-war days. The barrel and "flat cylinder" were a single combined unit and swung out to the side for loading.

That single shot swing-out is kinda similar to the Ruger Hawkeye in 256 Win Mag!

I love mine.

It's so absurdly pleasing to just slowly throw little .22 slugs down range all day. Something about how you reload it just really is pleasing.

At least with upgraded sights and stocks on it. The sights that came on the gun are pretty ick. The original stocks are truly awful.

I think Ian did a video on them too.

If anyone ever has a chance to shoot one certainly jump at it. They are a hoot.
