Safety conversion kit

I don't know what I was thinking when I bought this other than I love Sigs SAS models. I also love thwe bullseye sight. I have several Sigs that are all SAS that were produced in 2001 or later. But they are all D/SA pistols like S&W 3rd gens. I did get a great price on it so I am already thinking I will sell it and buy the manual safety version. That means going away from the SAS but I have to have the Manual safety.

Sig makes a kit to add a thumb safety. Easy to do.

My 365 has a safety. I didn't buy it for that reason and probably thought they all did when I bought it.

I just shot mine for the first time today. I am very impressed with it and it shot quite accurately. No sight adjustments needed. It piled the empties up neatly about 7 feet to my right. The trigger seems very Glock-like in feel. I like how Glock triggers break and I shoot them well. If Glock offered a model with a thumb safety, I would be all over it. But they don't. Hence, the Sig.

I got a Hogue hand all for mine, but I don't think I am going to use it. You have to cut plastic strips to act as shoe horns, use heat and Windex to install them? I'm afraid I'll end up damaging the frame in the process.
Any tips regarding installing it?

I did as Ladder13 did. I heated mine in very hot water then dried it quickly before hand. Hair dryer will work too.
Just be careful not to tear it
BTW, I really like the difference the sleeve makes.

So what do you think of it with the sleeve on it now.

I went in to purchase a Glock 43X or a Sig P365. They didn't have the Glock. But I had to try the 365XL. Loved it. The frame for the 365XL can be had for about $50. I saw a video where one guy bought the longer XL frame and put the firing/trigger mechanism and shorter slide from the 365 on the XL frame. Had I watched this video prior to purchasing, I would have bought the 365 and done the same thing.
