Show your 10/22.
I got tired of looking at my plain black 10/22 Ruger Takedown so I changed the stock to a special edition bronze one I found on Gunbroker, replaced the black polymer barrel band with a aluminum one, and added sling studs. I think it looks much better now.
Show your 10/22. I know you got one.

This is the one my Dad bought in 1996. I have added the scope, bipod & sling. Lost Dad in 1997 but still have his 10/22.

This Clark Custom I bought at a match from the Clarks back in the early 1990s. It's a great gun, with an extremely accurate bull barrel and a great trigger. The problem at the time was that it still had the Ruger factory stock on it, and that just wouldn't do. Mike Turner would show up at some of the matches back then with some great looking laminated stocks, so I picked one up and was immediately pleased with how it looked and how it felt.
The last addition was the Burris 6-24 rimfire precision scope. Back then Burris would cut super deals to competitors of matches they sponsored, something like 60% off of wholesale, so it was a no brainer to pick up this scope. It's got a fine plex reticle that is perfect for this gun. I still remember shooting in the bright sunlight and being able to see the shadow of the bullet going downrange. I never believed that phenomenon until I saw it.

Have kind of a soft spot for the 10/22, and have always had one of one flavor or another. Couple years ago, I bought an "International" version at a local gun shop while attending bike week in NH. Nice rifle as is, but I did upgrade with the "BX" target trigger - well worth the extra $60 bucks.

I love the 10-22s. It is probably my favorite Ruger design and I have several of them, in different configurations
However, I only have one of my Rugers photographed. It has been converted n appearance with a change of stock and a drum magazine
With a dark pin striped suit and fedora, this works great walking around town on Halloween
This is not a Ruger. I milled the received myself. It does use a Ruger bolt and FCG, along with Ruger stock (I am not a wood worker). I used a match grade barrel blank and turned and hand chambered the barrel myself. Unlike Ruger's V-lock barrel, I threaded the receiver and barrel for improved accuracy. I am very pleased at how it all turned out

Besides stocks, barrel changes on a few and trigger/action jobs on all of them, most of these are pretty much stock. Due to a hand/thumb injury the thumb hole stocks are more comfortable for me. I am 4-7 hours from the good sage rat shooting, so never make the trip without a backup. When one gets filthy enough to quit working properly, it goes back in the truck and I grab a replacement and keep shooting. Cleaning can be done later. For those that don't know what sage rat shooting is all about, just do a search for "sage rat shooting" and watch a couple of videos. This will get you started:

I added swivel studs and a sling to mine. This was a Ruger/Talo 50th anniversary edition (2014). Pictured under it is my Mark II with 10" barrel.

I had a half-dozen 10/22's at one time. They were like peanuts. I finally decided that was silly and only kept one.
2006 Wally-World Special. 22" SS barrel, DSP type hardwood stock. It's had a trigger job and a bolt buffer. The scope is a cheap Bushnell 4x32 Blister pack. The sling is a $5.00 nylon one from Wally-World.
It is a squirrel killing number.

I've had several 10-22s over the years, but have kept only two. This international model has been the recipient of a match-grade trigger, a modified pull-back bolt release and an easier mag release. It was a special high-grade production item for a large distributor. Accurate, too! That's a 10-shot 25-yard group, rapid fire from a bench.
This one is my knock-about "tacticool" item with a folding stock, muzzle brake, a pull-back bolt release, and larger mag release lever.
I think the 10-22s deserve "classic" status and devoted a chapter to them in my book 101 Classic Firearms.

I got a Ruger 10/22 from a friend.
It was nothing special, blued with a standard wood stock.
It gets a trifle humid around these parts and I wanted it to be a little more "weather proof".
I swapped the barrel for a stainless Ruger barrel and I swapped the stock for a synthetic Ruger stock.
It's my "all-weather" 10/22 now.

Like those Ruger 44 mag guns from the past. I recall they cost $119 for quite awhile. Selling for good money these day. Great brush gun for deer and hog.

I bought my 10/22 in 1976 for $69.95, and it stayed stock until I caught the "upgrade bug" a few years ago from the folks on Rimfire Central.
The stock has been pillar bedded.
I added a lug on the back of the receiver that locks into a slot I put in the stock, and is also bedded. That rear lug creates a solid two point lock up of the receiver in the stock, and transfers some of the load off of the front take down screw in affixing the action to the stock.
Upgrades are a KIDD bolt & charging handle, Tacsol V-block, Ruger BX Trigger, Green Mountain fluted bull barrel (free floated), Power Custom cantilever scope rail that screws into both the receiver and barrel (eliminates the dreaded barrel droop that can result from the heavy bull barrel), and a Mueller 4.5-14x 40mm AO scope.

Ruger 10/22
Great guns! I prefer the 10 rnd mags, but got the BX-25 with the 50 anniv. 10/22 pkg offered by Ruger in 2014. I may install a better trigger, and I did replace the black plastic stock with a wooden version. Balances much better for me.

Dang! I'm envious!! Those are some downright beautiful rifles!
Compared to all those, I kinda feel like a mule in the Kentucky Derby. Mine is just a plain Jane model. One of my sons refinished the stock, however, and I put in a Volquartsen trigger assembly. Other than that, just a plain ol' 10/22... but, it sure is a sweet shooter.

Nice set-up for sure. Slapped the standard stock module on mine for better L.O.P. and a Vortex 2x7-32 recently. Accuracy is great.

Well mine is not a special version just a regular old Ruger 10/22 carbine, but it is very special to me, my father gave it to me brand new one Christmas when I was around 12 years old back in 1983/84.

Looks just like my wife's except we have a different brand of scope.
I have an M1 carbine, so I had to get the M1 version of the 10/22.

I had a M77 in 22-250 that I loaded hot with cheap bullets (22 Hornet bullets I think). Couldn't find any holes on the target. Then I watched very carefully in bright sunlight and saw the bullets disintegrate. Kept those for "jokes" for friends. I'd shoot (it was pretty accurate) with better constructed bullets and then let them shoot with the disintegrating bullets.

Got this one for Christmas in the late 70's. Changed out the barrel and stock.
My dad gave me this one around 10 years ago. Not sure how old it is, but it's pre plastic. Came from the factory with the scope and sling. This is what it looked like when he gave it to me...except I had the factory barrel threaded.
I changed out the barrel, and have a few different stocks for it. It's took out many armadillos.

Unless I missed it, nobody has posted pics yet of the BEST 10/22 stocks produced. Okay .... okay .... some may debate that but ....
I dug mine out and took a couple of below average pics with a cheap-o camera cause it's raining .... AGAIN.

I avoided 10/22s for a long long time. Then the take down version came out and I immediately pictured the cased rifle living behind the seat of my pick-up. Funny thing was that was during one of the previous gun buying panics. I bought the last 10/22 take down the dealer had and someone offered me $100 more for it as I walked out the door. I turned them down because I didn't really need the cash and I wasn't sure when another 10/22 TD would be available. Other than adding a scope it is still stock.

I bought this 10/22 and gave it to my Dad for Christmas in 1988, he gave it back to me when he moved off the farm and went to Florida in 2000. It was a plain Jane 10/22. I bought the International stock to fancy it up a bit, I always liked that style.

Made in 1976 with walnut stock and aluminum trigger housing, back when 10/22s were quality rifles and carbines.

These are two I put together over the years. The top one was right around 2000 when Volquartsen came out with their trigger group. The Burris scope was a great 4-12 compact with an adjustable objective that went down to 7 yards, I don't know why they quit making it. It will make 4 leaf clovers, with 5 shots, at 50 yards with Federal GMM off a bipod.
I thought about swapping out the barrel for a newer threaded version that Volquartsen now makes, and getting into the suppressor game, but I talked myself out of it.
The bottom one was put together just before Ruger started making factory 16" barreled 10/22s. I had the barrel cut and threaded for the A1 flash hider. The Match Dot is a great red dot, it has an adjustable dot size and an easily adjustable elevation.
Rugers can be expensive addictive habits, there are just too many after market parts. Twenty tears ago you could turn a $239 Walley World special 10/22 into a $1000 rifle real quick........And the Ruger MK .22 pistols are just as bad.

Mine was my dad's 1972 10-22 and hasn't been shot in 30+ years. This thread reminded me I need to shoot it.

I'm quite fond of my 10/22 Takedown LITE with Barska 3x9 scope and HTA suppressor. It's my current favorite squirrel slayer.

We had been saying for years we would like to get a 10/22 but other things, often times other guns took the place. A few years ago right about my birthday Wendy saw this one and decided it would be a great present to herself, I mean me, so it came home.
Quite a fine present for my birthday.

This one came from an older guy who lives down the street.
He bought it at a local hardware store here in town the year he got married; 1967.
He topped it off with a scope that's marked "K Mart ALL-PRO 4X32".
Also included was this set-up.
I maybe paid $50 too much for this gun but the seller is a friend recently retired and I'm a sucker for nostalgia. And it's a local one-owner. LOL

Mine is the Compact Model with fiber Optic Front Sight. Standard 10 round magazines attached to a Tri-Mag adaptor. Since I’ll be moving full time to my VT home next year, I believe my BX-25 Magazines will have to find a new home.

Of all of the 10/22 variants, the internationals with the Mannlicher style stocks, is among my favorites.
Nice b'day gift there!!

I got this one year at Tulsa. I kind of liked the look of it and the price seemed reasonable. I could have sold it a couple of times and made money that day.
