PSA's Glock clone anyone?
I'm not Glock fan by any stretch, but am intrigued by this better looking clone. $299 list and a lifetime warranty. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's going to be a winner so maybe we'll see a 45 and 10mm soon after the 9mm is released. My checkbook is ready.

I don't want a real Glock, why would I buy a "fake" one?

Looks like many other black polymer semi autos.
Grip reminds me a bit of the Ruger LC-9 / LCP-II.
Forward slide serrations are hideous though.

A plastic gun is a plastic gun. I’ll stick to my Glocks.

If they ever actually produce them, and they don't throw spent brass in your face, I'm in. I've got their AKV and it's a tack driver.
None of my glock .40's EVER gave me an issue in regards to brass to face. ALL of my 9's either did it from the get go, or started after 1k+ rounds. Other than that, I like my glocks as much as my s&w's. Flame suit on!

Seems to be the thing to do these days.
I got an ad from Sportsman's Guide for this FMK Patriot II - for just a little more than two Benjamins.
I guess PSA was selling them for a while too.

Personally, I don't see the point. Smith & Wesson already offers a budget-priced, better-looking, American-made Glock clone which is covered by their lifetime warranty which goes on sale on a yearly basis for as low as $250 with mail-in rebate.

I think the point is to try to get a piece of the market.
Blocky, striker-fired, polymer-framed, bottom feeders with metal slides seem to be all the rage.

AH, OK, well, maybe to have something different?
And maybe to save a few bucks?
Not for me, but apparently there is a market for them.

Even so, I don't understand why anybody would choose the PSA PS9 over the S&W SD9 or Mossberg MC2.
Nothing against Palmetto State Armory, but when both Smith and Mossberg are already offering their own high quality, budget-priced Glock clones, I just don't see the appeal of the PS9.

That's like saying because the Silverado, Ram 1500, and F-150 are basically the same truck, why do need all 3 on the market?

I bought a used Glock 36 (.45 a.c.p.) last week for $299.95 plus tax. It had been a rental gun at a local range, but was rarely rented. I am not so enamored with Glocks that I would buy a clone of one. I would rather buy a used Glock and take it back to the factory for free service.
In the past few months I briefly owned Sigma’s in 9mm and .357 Sig. With a set of Apex springs and some instrucion, the triggers and groups have improved.
Here is my Glock 36, made in April of 2012.

Not really, because those trucks actually compete with one another in ways which attempt to set themselves apart from the competition in spite of their obvious similarities and are all offered by established brands.
The PS9 on the other hand is made by a brand known for little more than budget-priced ARs and as far as I know hasn't really tried to set itself apart for the competition in any meaningful way.
For example, the Smith & Wesson Sigma Series at least tried to compete with the Glock by offering improved ergonomics compared to the Glock and the Mossberg MC2 offers a lot of different safety features to appeal to the folks who like the Glock's reliability, but feel uncomfortable carrying a gun without a manual safety. What does the PS9 offer aside from being a budget-priced Glock clone, what features does it bring to the table to compete with other Glock clones on the market?

Just another ugly, plastic gun. No thanks. If I want an ugly, plastic gun I'll buy a proven performer with plenty of support; Glock or Smith & Wesson M&P.

PSA has become quite innovative in the last few years. The Freedom line of AR rifles may not be go to war guns but the average citizen will not wear it out. Higher end models are available too. PSA built AK’s are now on the third generation, undergoing improvements to include an enhanced version with a CHF barrel. The AKV is highly sought after.

To add another data point, Palmetto State Armory produced a small run of 1911 pistols, frames and slides back in about 2016 that were very high quality. For whatever reason, they decided not to put that product line into full production and inventory was quietly liquidated.

Like I said, I'm not saying that PSA is a bad company or that the firearms they produce aren't any good, merely that the PS9 doesn't really bring anything new to the table, so why chose a PS9 over one of the many other budget-priced Glock clones which actually offer more in the way of features like the S&W SD9, Mossberg MC2 or Springfield XD?
Yeah, yeah... I know that according to rabid Glock Fanboys and aging hipsters who spend all their time denigrating polymer-framed pistols, they're all terrible and can't compete with Glocks or SIGs, so you should just spend $200+ on one of those, but factually speaking, they all seem to be good quality pistols, each with their own unique features which make them more than just "cheap knockoffs" like some people say.
If the PS9 actually does include some unique features that aren't offered by G19, SD9, MC2, XD, or any of the other Glockalikes on the market that I may have forgotten, then please let me know, but as far as I know, it's nothing more than just another budget-priced Glock clone.

Not to mention the Titan and the Tundra.
The guns are all as different and distinctive as the trucks.
The basics are all the same but the execution, and the price point, varies from brand to brand.
Hard as it is to believe, there are actually some people who don't LIKE Smith & Wesson, or Mossberg, or Glock.
For them and for those who can't afford a Glock, having other low cost alternatives makes sense.
Personally I don't want any of them, but obviously there is room in the market for more of them.

With out actually seeing and using one how can anyone say it is a cheap junk?
Isn't PSA made in the USA? Looks like decent gun at a price point that lots of people will pay. PSA ARs by the way, are not junk. But folks will banter and decide on their own.
SA XDs are not junk and the are made in Croatia, In many ways I like them better than Glocks,
I have a G19 and replaced the fire control trigger, (which sucks) sights and slide lock So whats so great about them?
SW could not design one in the beginning so the Sigma is direct clone of a Glock and they got sued. Somehow that is OK? SW Polymer guns are no better than the others. Had a MP45 that went back 3 or 4 times and finally got rid of it.
I hope PSA sells a ton of them.

Perhaps because many people have preferences different than yours? What is SW quality in Polymer guns vs others? I'l take and HK , Sig or XD over a SW. Do you have the Mossberg? It looks like a good gun but have never seen it.
