If I could only have one, it would be the G19, Gen 3, 4 or 5. They check all of the boxes; reliable, concealable, good capacity, and a lot of aftermarket support. I carried Glocks for a large part of my career. I never had a gun-related malfunction in many thousands of rounds. In retirement now, I usually carry a G43 or G48 (ok, sometimes a P365), but there is always a G19 nearby in the house and in the vehicle.

I took this approach when I picked up my Glock. I am too obsessed/confident with the 1911 platform and the Smith revolvers for concealed carry to look at the Glock for concealed carry, but it could change once I put some rounds through it. I bought my Glock 17 Gen5 MOS primarily for GSSF matches. Gen5 because of the lack of finger grooves on the grip's front strap.

Because of the attractiveness of the GSSF discount and the desire to not lose my Mauser HSc if I need to use it, a Glock 42 with a Pearce +1 grip extension seems to be calling me as a pocket alternative.

I have owned about two dozen Glocks; still have nine and a 29/30sf frame with an Advantage Arms .22 LR kit on it. Personally I find the themed slide cover plates distracting. As I own two gen. 2 19’s I left the Maltese Cross slide cover plate on the 19 I use the most. I only have the extended slide release levers on two of my pistols. My 29 had the feature but I asked a service tech to switch it for a flat lever.

10mm is what stops so well. Took me about 18 years to realize there are a lot of other 10mm choices out there at least as good as the G20. I bought a 2nd gen G20 in 1992 the month they were released. I sold it a couple of months ago for barely what I paid for it, which sucked, it means the guns don't appreciate in value like so many others do. Never really warmed up to the pistol; I still love 10mm, though, now have a 1911 in that caliber. It may hold half as many bullets as the G20 did, but IMO, it's twice the gun.

I'm not a G-hater, just not overly impressed.

G20. With conversion barrels, I have 10mm, 40, and 357sig and use the same magazine all in one. My G20 is a Gen2, but I upgraded to a Gen3SF after finding a stripped frame for cheap.

FWIW, I've read that instructor Kelly McCann has used a Gen 2 Glock 19 that's gone over 100,000 rounds. IIRC, the only things done have been replacing small parts and springs, and I think I remember reading that he had some kind of factory upgrade done, but I can't remember the details of that. I think it had to do with the frame pins.

But I really do like my Gen 4 Glock 21 I carry at work. I also really like my Gen 4 Glock 30.

If I had to sell all but one of mine I would keep my G20SF.

Glock 19 Gen5 MOS. Ambi friendly, no finger grooves, better trigger, better finish on the slide, better barrel, rounded nose on slide, and slide milled for optics.

Although we have a model 17 in 9mm, this model 21 is my favorite of the two.

I too would limit myself to the G19. Counting military, and police sales, I think it's the world's best-selling 9mm.

When I laid my G26 atop my G19, I realized that the size difference was mostly in my eyes and the two guns were so close in size that I sold the G26 and never looked back.No gun will have the honor of residing in my safe if I need a magazine extension to get three fingers around the grip (middle, ring and little).

I'm the same with semi-autos. I want a good 3-finger grip on the front strap. My PX4 Compact allows me such a grip with the standard mag. Had a Gen 3 Glock 23 that fit me well in that regard.

Of course, I do have an interest in getting a pocket .380, which won't allow for a 3-finger grip on the front strap, but I see it as a "special purpose" tool, so I'll relax my requirements for that one.

Gen 2 G19...the one I own. Never a functional failure in almost 30 years. Not one!

Either a Glock 23 or a Glock 19. I do like the special edition 19.

I only own 2 Glocks. My former NOPD Glock 22 is at a friends on extended loan. My GGP17 I own only because I wanted a handgun to go with my Glock pattern AR9 braced pistol that used the same magazines. Had a lot of fun putting it together and I like the improved ergonomics of the newer Polymer80 style frames.

The only one that interests me if I could find it at a steep enough bargain would be a Glock 17.

Only need one but have two? But the one I wouldn’t do without is my 27!

When the FBI went to the 19M 9mm a couple of years ago, my wife gave me her 23/27 .40. She carries a 26 now for her POW. Not too sure why the bureau went to the 19M 9mm, probably had something to do with $ and recoil, but it's ok by me because I now have a couple of great carry guns in a caliber I like! Here's my BBQ Glock also a 22/.40.

Only one I've ever owned. Carried it for about 8 years, then went to a S&W 642-1, and as of May 1st, switched to a Sig P365.

I went to a firearms instructor school last fall. The majority of officers there had newer model 45s and every single one said it was their favorite Glock ever. I few said they didn’t know why but they shot the 45 better than a 17 and a 19.

Either a 19 or a 19X. For the 19, it would be a gen 5.

I own both, and they have both been flawless shooters. It would really just come down to whether it's a gun I want to be able to conceal somewhat, or if I'm OK with the full size grip.

I posted earlier about having a Gen 4 tricked up 19 and a Gen 5 45. That model 45 shoots just wonderfully and I have not even changed out the horrible Glock sights yet. Don't know why but that full length grip feels really good and seems to improve control over the shorter 19 grip.

Of the ones I own it would have to be the g43x. It fits my medium hands perfectly.

If I could only have one, it would be a 19. The Gen really wouldn't matter to me.

best balanced Glock in he hand I've shot, and with the 15 round mag now available, a fine defensive handgun.

G19 is an easy answer, but I’d be good with any of the double stack Glocks except .45 GAP (can you even buy that cartridge any more).

The 42 and 43 seem ammo sensitive, so if I could only have one, it wouldn’t be those. Maybe they fixed that on the 43x and the 48.

Yep...my youngest daughter is a NC LEO and her issue gun is a Glock 21, Gen 4 (.45 ACP). So she is tossing bucoo rounds downrange while I was still fumbling around with loaded full moonclips and my Model 25-2. Got tired of that, found a decent Gen 4 Glock 21 at a steep discount with box, mags so dived right in.

Got to admit...it is a good shooter, easy to maintain, not really out any heartache and $ if stolen, confiscated or whatever....it is just not any real attachment for me. Glocks are what they are..work guns made and intended for a purpose, but I don't think they will ever be any form of classic, or art, although being plastic, they should be fairly easy to "engrave" with a hot yawl or ice pick.

Since both daughter and myself are "holster qualified" the Glock goes to the range in a Safariland paddle, retention level II, holster, (pictured on the nightstand in background in one of my collection pics). When daughter is not home for visits, the Glock spends days in the Safariland holster wedged between the front seat and console of a Chevy Silverado, nights in a nightstand next to my side of the bed. My regular EDC is a Model 637.

I'm OK with the one Glock but don't see anymore in my future, Dang sure don't want any in the safe along with my Smiths.

I actually really like it too, save for the fact that it's chambered in 9mm despite having a gigantic 45 on the slide and is for an AMERICAN President, but they did pretty much the exact same thing with their other Amer-themed Limited Edition Glocks as well, they're only available in 9mm Luger, a German Cartridge, but none in .40 S&W, .45 ACP, or 10mm Auto.

I bought a G17 back in 1986, SN AY442, when I was in OK for flight school. Adam's or Adamson's guns in Lawton, paid $286 out the door. The professional critics said they were terrible and would never catch on.

I never could shoot the gun well and sold it in 2004 to buy a P239 and have never regretted it.

I own a G20SF (short frame) in 10mm and it's not for sale. Right now it's the only reasonable hiking pistol in 10mm. Sig hasn't pulled their head out and offered a P320 in 10mm, and S&W hasn't either with the M&P line.

I have a friend who shoots competition with a glock. I have nothing against them from a mechanical POV, I just have too many other handguns with the 'other' grip angle. So when I raise the pistol to eye level, the glocks are pointing high and need large adjustments to get the sights on target. Every other pistol (Sigs and 1911s) come up with the sights on target and only need tiny adjustments to line up.

I have owned several Glock pistols and currently only have a Gen 5 G26 that i carry with the factory 10 round magazine backed up by a 15 round spare magazine. Although a Glock model model 40 mos seems like a fun pistol to buy.

That’s a tuffy. I think all around, G27 Gen3. It’s thick but very easily concealed in the right holster. Surprisingly controllable with the factory double recoil spring. I have 9mm conversion bbl and mags for mine that haven’t bobbled once so far, and it will take any full size mag you decide to carry. I put mag extensions and grip tape on mine when I first got it because I was concerned about recoil, but found I didn’t need that stuff and took it off.

My G27 converted to 357 Sig=two barrels five me the option of 357 Sig or 40 S & W.

I would follow with a G22 with the same conversion. More distant third would be a G20 in 10mm (I live in bear and moose country).

The G26. If I had a second choice it would be a G45
