Default Charter Arms .32 H&R Professional?

A 3" 7 shot .32 H&R magnum would have a place in my safe if well executed.
Has anyone bought or handled one?

I picked up a used one a few months ago. I was told the PO traded for a 327 Federal of some sort.

I've tried it out a couple of times at the range but not extensively. It seems accurate, the finish is good. I did have a couple rounds FTF, maybe light strikes? I then tried those rounds in my single six and they fired right off. I'm not too worried, if the problem continues I'll send it in.

It doesn't feel as comfortable as my SP101, no doubt it's not in the same class as a 16-4. The cost is also far apart!

My only other observation is the trigger itself feels a tiny bit small or cramped. My fingers aren't that fat so it might be worth trying yourself.

I like the round a lot and I knew I could trade it to my brother if I fell out of love but so far I'm keeping it.

I think it is an intriguing revolver, especially for the price. Also believe that if it were chambered in .327 Federal Magnum, they would sell more. It is now available in two versions. The coated stainless and standard stainless.

I'd love if we could get something like this from smith or ruger, preferably in 327. Just never been impressed by charter revolvers.

I tend to glom onto most things 32 cal. but not this ,,,,,so far.
I believe it would find a better "niche" if they had put adjustable sights on it.
With the 3" tube and larger grips it's beyond a pocket gun but could preform well as a utility , walk about gun. At half the price of a 3 or 4 inch SP-101 it could be a dandy ranch/farm/truck gun.
As Charter Arms are not known for longevity in the rock an roll or high pressure calibers the 32 mag could be a perfect match for the frame. I do have a 32 Undercoverette ( smaller 5 shot ) that can do pocket duty so they have that covered.

As built it kind of has to go toe to toe with the 3' SP-101 ,,,, and will always come off as the cheaper "also ran".

But,,,,,If they slap some adj. sights on it I'd give it a try.

This.

I own a 93 grain 32 caliber wadcutter mold, just looking for a gun to feed.

If you can find one, I highly recommend the 16-4, the Ruger would be my second choice; I’ve never been impressed with anything from Charter Arms.
