Colt SAA .45 matched pair, engraved, nickel & stag
I posted these often but recently took these pictures so here they are again. Engraved by the late Frank Leaman of Mokelemne Hill, CA. in the 1980s. He scrimshawed the horse, too. Top pic 1920 on top, 1957 on bottom. Bottom pic 1957 on top and 1920 below it. And the double rig I made for them years ago.

i would sit and drink beer while Frank Leaman engraved guns. After he fixed an Italian Dakota single action .45 for me he asked to trade it for engraving a gun. In another words he was practically doing it for free. Here's the picture of the Time/Life western book on Gunfighters I showed him and said make it look like this gun, but a shorter barrel. Later he did the other one.
