Here are a couple of Colt Officer's Model Match, a .22 LR and a .38 Special. Anyone else have examples of these?

I've had a couple of .357 Models also (both 6") for a long time. I've never done a side-by-side accuracy comparison with these and my two 6" Pythons, but I'm pretty sure the .357 Models are at least as accurate as the Pythons.

I just picked this one up a few hours ago. A Trooper in 38 Special from 1966. With the box, some of the papers, including a factory target. I took these pictures before it went into layaway, and haven't had a chance to do any better ones.

I've heard of these factory targets, but I don't think I've ever seen one before. Maybe someone recognizes the name. I believe this was the only time the gun was fired, but of course I can't prove it.

I've got a couple of Pythons with adjustable sights, but they're the new ones, and probably not what you're looking for.

My OMM, in .38 Special, is one of my favorite handguns. This specimen (pictured with a 17-3) is from 1956. And no, the stocks on either are not original, I just like cocobolo!

I sure do, here are my pair of Colt OMM's. I have the original box and paperwork for the .22 but not the .38.

Someone mentioned the Trooper .22s. These are sort of interesting. They're basically Officers Model Match guns with 4" barrels and generally shoot very well.

They were only made from '54 to '61. We seldom know just how many Colt made of anything, but I've seen figures on this one of 2,000 and 3,000. Whether either number is close to accurate, I don't know. Trooper .22s aren't rare but you don't see them for sale every day. They were used years ago by some law enforcement agencies for training before moving on to .38s.

I don't know what these guns sell for nowadays, but a few years back they really didn't bring much nor did there seem to be much demand for them. Great .22s.

I’m not saying that this was Patton’s holster....

A few of my Colts.
A .22 Trooper

A target shooter’s .32 Officers Model with a Roper front sight and Sanderson grips. One of my favorite shooters.

A 357 with a Colt brand shoulder holster.

Great thread, LEO.
Regards,
turnerriver

I used to have the 38, and ran a side by side test against the S&W K38 (Pre 14). Using exactly the same ammo sandbagged at 25 yards couldn't make any group better or worse than the other. Both head to head top shooters.

Here are pictures of my Colt (NOT "Colt's" ) Officers Model in 38 Special, manufactured in 1927. There is not a finer gun made by anyone, IMHO. This gun has to be handled to be truly appreciated.
