Beautiful longgun wood
A beautifully stocked AH Fox shotgun is recently posted by forum member "weatherby". I love really nice wood on shotguns and rifles, and I'll bet most of you do also. So let's share some photos of lovely wood (original or custom) on our long guns. I'll start with a photo of the stock on my 1983 Remington Model 1100 Tournament Grade Skeet

I recently picked up this Anschutz 1418 but it's a Stutzen so may not qualify as a "long" gun.

This Winchester M94 Big Bore .375 Winchester has nice wood for a factory gun:
This sporterized Yugo 98 Mauser .35 Whelen has lovely wood - I don't think my pictures do it justice:
This is a basic, pre-USRAC Model 94 .30-30 Winchester with pretty decent wood for a factory gun:

Most of the Model 52R sporters have the nice but straight grained walnut that Winchester was known for, but the one on the left is an exception with very nice figure.
CZ wood tends to be similarly plain, but there are exceptions such as this nicely tiger striped CZ 453 Varmint.
