Default H. J. Wood Contemporary Percussion Longrifle
Anyone know anything about an H. J. Wood rifle builder from the 1960’s? I believe he was located in Northern Michigan. The same estate had a Hawken style custom made by a J. B. Wood in the late 60’s with similar markings.

This rife appears fairly well done with a lot of attention to detail. The lock appears to be an original M. M. Maslin from the 1800’s, possibly converted from flintlock. The barrel is 42” long, 1” across the flats and it’s a .45 caliber, so the gun is a tad muzzle heavy!
