Default A surprising local find

It's a rare occasion that I buy a brand new gun. I've had the "want" for a Glock 19x since they first came out but never bought one for whatever reasons.

I recently called or stopped by some local places looking for one and found out about the newest gun shortage. Scanning completed auctions on gun broker I discover prices on them as high as $900.00! Wowza.

Yesterday I went to the local farm store for a new $15 tape measure. As luck (??) would have it ..... there sits a brand spanking new 19x for $589.00!

Darn expensive tape measure for sure.

Picked up this gun today and went straight to the range.

You know, these are really a pretty good value considering you get the gun and cleaning rod, bush, 3 magazines, 4 back straps, the lock and magazine loader.

Anyway, fired 150 trouble free rounds through it. Then got to chatting with the owner of the range and before we knew it ..... time for lunch.

I purchased a Glock 45, basically the same gun in black. I really like it. I PO that I shoot and train with all the time has the 19X and he likes it very much also. We are both lefties so it is nice to have the ambi features that they provide.

Close .... Farm & Home Supply.

And here's the proof knowing we like pics here.

This one came out a little lighter in color than it really is.

A better representation of the actual color.

No, always been locally owned. Always been called Farm and Home. Started in the 60's or 70's I think by a man named Carl Bowles. There's a dozen or so stores in central IL, NE MO and SE IA.

Been there and done that, I went to the local Ace hardware store for some rattle cans of flat black to touch up the AR 500 steel targets. I walked out with a Glock 43 single stack with the intentions of a pocket carry.

Today after PT and mowing the yard, I ventured back to the local range.

Put another 150 through the G19x and 100 or so through the G43 that I carry some.

These Glocks are just super reliable and accurate, right out of the box. I probably have close to 1000 through the G43 now.
