Ruger Redhawk 7 1/2"
Picked this up earlier in the week.
Ruger Redhawk 7 1/2" barrel in the .44mag.
My youngest son has already informed me it's his
I'll let him find some grips for it though
I really need to stop buying......

Congrats!
41 Mag?
357?
Factory wood grips are plentiful and pretty inexpensive. I use mine that way but added a Tyler T Grip.
Excellent choice.

Nice!
I found a 4" RH .44 in January. It had Goodyears I couldn't live with, and found these factory stocks on ebay for 40 bucks.

Of the 7 Redhawks that reside with me, the 7.5 inch is my favorite. This is my son giving one of them a workout.

I have a blued 5.5" Redhawk with Pachmayrs and there is no way I'd want to shoot it with wood grips.

Have identical Redhawk
Bought mine as a High School graduation gift to myself. Was a hard gun to find in the mid 1980's. Those Pachmayr Gripper grips you have I have found to be the best grip for the Redhawk.
My second Redhawk is a 7 1/2" stainless with the scope ring barrel, same Pachmayr grips that I bought from a friend.
Great shooting handgun.

Congrats on a nice gun. Bought mine not long after they came out, mounted a red dot, and it has proven to be a real deer killer. Those grips are ugly, but they do work when it comes to shooting it. The factory wood on mine never felt right in my hands.

I had one of the SS 7 1/2 in barreled 6 shot .357 Mag. It was a beast. Bought a SS 7 1/2 in .41 Mag, had it Mag-Na-Ported and mounted a Leupold M8-2x for deer hunting. It also was a beast and shot way better than I could hold it. Eventually quit hunting and sold the Redhawks to fund some other project, but enjoyed them a great deal while I had them.

My 5 1/2" came with both sets of grips and two front sights.

Those might be ugly in your eyes but they seem to be the best I have found for both grip/hand feel, and taming some recoil.

When I was shopping for a 44 Magnum with the intention of using it for nothing but full power ammo, I considered a Redhawk and a Super Redhawk. I ended up buying the Super, but in retrospect, I probably would have been better off with the Redhawk. The Super Redhawk is certainly durable, the lockwork is easy to service and a bit smoother out of the box, and the factory rubber stock fits my hand perfectly, but that oversized frame and bull barrel make it one heavy revolver.

I owned a Ruger Redhawk 7-1/2" in 44 mag and 357 mag. Awesome revolvers that were very accurate. I carried the 44 in a shoulder holster hunting and took the 357 to the range in a wheel barrow. Regardless of loading the 357 never had a stuck case. Saved the wood grips and only shot with Pachmayr grips.
It was a happy days when they both went down the road to another overjoyed owner, just like owning a boat.

Redhawks are solid revolvers- built like bank vaults. Arguably the strongest 44s out there.

Got one in 41mag. Stock grips look good, but are a little small. Installed Pachmyr grips. Not nearly as good looking, but makes the Redhawk easier to handle.

They are definitely a heavyweight! I have had my SS 7 1/2" model since 1987. I shot a wild boar with it in Tennessee in 1989.....went down like a ton of bricks.
