The firearm pictured is actually a PPk/s and not a PPk

That one you have was made in America by Smith & Wesson under license from Walther

The blue ones bring about the same money as a S&W produced stainless PPk/s brings in similar condition

Now because many, many more folks wanted them in stainless, in 50 or 60 years a blue example in Excelent + condition will be worth more that the stainless version due to scarcity

At the moment the pistol is much to young for that to kick in

Its been my experience that the S&W made PPK/s is the least desirable of all the models due to the recall and other issues. Walther purist absolutely hate 'em. However, IMHO once the recall issue is settled, they are very good guns.
BTW: you need to check to see if that gun has had the recall done or needs it. If it does, send it to Walther Arms in Ft. Smith, ARK, NOT S&W. Walther recalls
I have a stainless S&W made PPK/s-1 in the very scarce .32acp caliber that I bought three years ago for $475. I'd estimate that this gun being blue would sell in the $500-550 range today.

Keep in mind that a New One, with a German Barrel and Slide, assembled in a plant in Arkansas owned by the German company can be bought for $685.00 brand new with a box and two magazines. In my opinion the ones made by S&W (I have both) are not as well made as those of the new Walther US, but an original German one from the 70s is another story on value.

I purchased a slight scuffed, stainless Interarms Walther PPK/s, in original packaging with two mags, for around $550 last year (pictured below). It's my understanding that the S&W production models are worth less to Walther collectors/aficionados due to the aforementioned recall(s) and redesign issues.
