Default Damage in Extractor Star?

I have an old Korth Revolver. After my first range session, I noticed that there is a small burr formed on all six curves on the extractor star. I haven't taken note of this area before my range session so I am not sure if this burr is typical and nothing to worry about or if it was damaged by the previous owner.

Looks completely innocent, unless it is in a place where it would interfere with the shell casings being fully seated, or the extractor retracting properly into the cavity.

I would send Korth a photo or two and ask for their opinion.

Great to know. It doesn't interfere at all with the extraction. Not sure if the current Korth company knows about such a case for a 1967 revolver but I can ask.

I'd just snag each of the burrs off of the extractor and not worry about it.

From the photo, I suspect during mfg, the extractor star was given a very shallow clearance/fouling cut midway in it's thickness.

Then when the extractor was in place and the chambering reamer cut each chamber,,that shallow clearance allowed a burr from the chamber reamer cutting process to roll up and into that opening.
Pushing the extractor open after the chambering process cut off any offending hanging chips and burs except the tiny end that was still curled into that opening.
I think that is what you see and feel and is what is still hanging on there at each chamber.

Use a tiny pointed steel pick and a magnifier to push each one off if they bother you.

**You might end up with an even small bright steel mark where the blued burr is removed. That might be of more bother to you cosmetically that the current condition is mechanically.

I wouldn't touch it. Looks innocuous to me, but believe me I get it with respect it's a 4-figure gun.

If it works, don't fix it.

Sounds good to me. Seems like the dent is harmless. Not sure if this is typical for a 22lr revolver.
