Fine looking Marlin rifles. My Marlin in .45-70 is my favorite rifle.

Very nice! I have a similar Marlin. Mine is one of the TALO run with 16" barrel, but unported. Neat little guns IMHO.

Have one of these hanging up beside the bed. Loaded with 180 jhp "vermin rounds" that get about 1550 fps from the 16 in barrel. Let my mother shoot it once, who was in her eighties at the time. With the medium loads and recoil pad she got on target very quickly. The recoil/muzzle blast is minimal, while getting short pistol barrel velocities.
Just one of it's uses, and the 357 version is stored.

I got out to the range this morning and shot it. It did great, but my eyes don't do so well with open sights anymore. I'll probably put a small reflex sight on it.

I have an 1894P in .44 Magnum. They are great rifles but high priced today, often selling for $1000. I was lucky enough to get mine years ago for less than half that.
Shark Bait, you might want to try an aperture sight such as the Skinner Sight or XS before going to a reflex sight.
Enjoy that Marlin
